Need Advice, taking FAR on Wednesday and not prepared.

I stumbled on this site last week and found it very helpful as I was reviewing for my REG exam last Thursday. I took review classes at the same time for REG and FAR with Becker. I had about 2 weeks to review/cram for REG and I felt that I was in pretty good shape (we will see).

That left only 6 days until my FAR exam (in 2 days) and I have not had enough time to prepare since I have been in REG mode for the past couple weeks. I am sure I will fail.

The question is, should I sit for the exam just for the experience (and eat the application fee)? OR do I reschedule the exam for a time when I can prepare successfully and pay the $80 rescheduling fee?

I am going back and forth with this and could use some advice. Thanks

    BEC- (4/2) 85

If your test is in 2 days, you're still in $35 bracket rescheduling fee.

On my Prometric confirmation email it says “Changes made less than 5 days prior will be assessed $88.20”. Changes made 5 to 30 days prior is only a $35 fee.

    Oh, you're right. My mistake.

I hope this won't show up in my FAR test in 5 days. LOL

Just go with your conscious since no one can drink a medicine for you.If you think you're ill-prepared and want to reschedule that's your decision .Since the CPA is a journey and not an event I will not “pack” too many exams in one window you may disagree but that is me, so go with your conscious regarding the FAR exams.

    Thanks @Jack_J

I truly do not feel comfortable taking it, so I think I will reschedule. I think what I really want to know though, if it would be beneficial just to “see” the questions/simulations on the exam. Then again, I wouldn't be taking FAR until May because I am about to start AUD and BEC with Becker next week…
