NASBA received score, but not realized on OK Board

I took BEC on July 20th, and have been looking for my score constantly on the Oklahoma Board. My friend called last night to tell me that the scores were posted, but when I looked mine was not. I called OAB (Oklahoma Accountancy Board) and they told me that they are automatically added to their site and that they do not know the scores until they are mailed to them. I called NASBA and they told me that they do not upload the scores automatically, they only receive a copy of the scores and are the ones that release a mailed copy. So I am assuming that OAB must have been meaning that the AICPA puts them on the OAB website. When I talked to NASBA the guy checked and said that they had received my scores, and did not know why mine had not posted online. Has anyone else ever experienced this. All I want is my scores and I want them NOW! I do not understand why everyone else is receiving their scores, and for some unknown reason mine will not post online for me to actually see the results. I am glad that I atleast know that my score has been released by the AICPA, now I just need the results.

    BEC 7/20/10 88 (90 hours)
    AUD 8/27/10 73 (65 hours), retake 11/22/10 81 (75 hours)
    FAR 10/28/10 80 (157 hours)
    REG 1/7/10 extended to 1/17/10 78 (130 hours) I'M DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ness, did you recently graduate? If so, has your state board received your final official transcripts? If they haven't received them they will hold your scores until the hold is lifted. I had that problem last window when I was waiting on my FAR exam score.

    FAR: 78 BEC: 79 REG: 86 AUD: 74, 83 DONE!!!

    Ness,

I took my BEC test on 7/22 but my results aren't posted on the OAB website either. I'm going crazy waiting. Have you found out anymore info?

@kyle – I had posted this on the other side (Club 75). I'm not from Oklahoma and this is my first testing cycle but I did a bit of research (anything to put off studying for Audit) and this is what I found for you guys. Its basically what I found in a 10 minute search and some quick analysis. Best of luck!!

I just looked on OK's page of NASBA and saw this “All scores for the current testing window are mailed via U.S Mail. Scores are not faxed or emailed to candidates. Score notices are only distributed via U.S. Mail.” Unfortunately I think you may have to stalk your mail man to get your scores….

    https://www.ok.gov/oab_web/documents/Score%20Posting%20Info%20for%20website.pdf.

I then went to OK Board website and saw the above PDF. I think from what I see is that AICPA releases to Oklahoma for a final review and then they are released to NASBA to be mailed to you…. maybe try calling the board and seeing if they have an estimate of when you should get your score.

Best of luck, you an email me mrichard119@gmail.com if you have any other questions about my logic or anything 🙂

    Michelle,

The OAB also has a way for each individual to go in and look at the unofficial score using a file # and pin # that they provided at the start of the application process. I had a friend that took the BEC exam on 7/15 and his score is posted to the website. I don't know what the deal is.

    Thanks for your response!

@kyle, nothing yet. I keep checking about every 10 minutes. So I know what you are going through. The weird thing is, I know somebody in my state that took the exam just a couple of days before I did and her unofficial score is posted on OAB. That is what is the most frusturating. Especially when I call and they give me the run around, which is not the first time that has happened. They lied to me when I tried to change my preferred method of notification from mail to email. They told me all I had to do was request the information which I did and the guy wrote it down, then when I kept calling back to see if it was chagned there computers were down, they would get to me the next day and so on. A week later I called and finally talked to a lady that told me that she was the only one in the office that could perform the change and that she had been on vacation the whole week before. It looks to me like they will tell you what you want to hear or just make something up while you are on the phone with you to get them off the hook.

@koliver. They should have all my information. They wouldn't let me sign up for the test until they had all my official transcripts in hand.

    ness,

I read on another website where somebody said that scores were randomly selected for release and sometimes even if you took the exam very early in the testing window that you might not get your score until the second wave of scores are released. Anybody know if there is any truth to that?

@kyle – haven't heard anything about that for BEC, I know for the other ones there is the chance of getting a new simulation and then you are automatically in wave 2….. not sure about OK though they could do some different things….

@Ness… every state is different. MN lets you apply and take an exam before you graduate as long as you are within a certain timeframe from graduation. They require your official transcripts to be sent to them before they release your scores though.

@koliver, that would be nice to be able to start taking the exam before all the requirements are met, especially with the 150 hours. Unfortunately in OK, you have to have everything completed before they will let you sign up to take the test.
