My study plan for February 1st – FAR

    Hey guys,

    I will be writing FAR on February 1st.

    My plan is to do this (Based on Roger study plan), with a part time job:

    Week 1: Conceptual Framework, Cost & Equity and Marketable securities

    Week 2: Financial Instruments and Inventory

    Week 3: PPE, Intangible assets, Bonds

    Week 4: Accounting for Leases, Liabilities and receivables

    Week 5: Pensions, Stockholders Equity and Partnerships

    Week 6: Reporting results of operations, Changes & Error and corrections, Deferred taxes

    Week 7: Interim financial reporting, Long term construction cont, prsonal financial stmts, Stmt cash flow,

    Week 8: Earnings per share, FS analysis, foreign operations, government accounting

    Week 9: Govmt accounting, Biz combinations and consolidations

    Week 10: Non profit accounting, FAR final review

    Week 11-13 Review, review, review

    If anyone else is writing the exam by the same date, would be nice to hear!

    I would have more repetition of reviewing old material in there.

    Week 1: Conceptual Framework, Cost & Equity and Marketable securities

    Week 2: Financial Instruments and Inventory AND REVIEW WEEK 1 MATERIAL

    Week 3: PPE, Intangible assets, Bonds AND REVIEW WEEK 1 AND 2 MATERIAL

    I think daily review of the material you already learned is one of the best time savers for passing these exams. I read some books on effective learning to prepare for these exams and constant reinforcement is huge in the learning process.

    I spoke to an ancient wise man who sent me on a mushroom induced journey through an ancient forest to find the key to passing the CPA exam. A talking spider monkey told me to throw the last of my drinking water in the dirt to find what I was looking for. So I followed his instructions and the following message appeared in the soil:

    "Do 5000 multiple choice questions for each section"

    Hey Study Monk, is reasonable what you are saying, in that way you don't forget older lessons at the week 11!
