The sims I had on FAR were easy. I’m not saying this in a bragging way or anything like that. They were all topics covered in becker thoroughly. Since this was my first test I was expecting them to be ridiculous after reading all the posts about sims that were so crazy and not even covered in any study materials in some cases. My question is does anyone think sims could be easier depending on how you did on MC? I know they say they are independent but have people gotten easy sims and failed and hard sims and passed? Was I just lucky? This fact is giving me a weird feeling lol

I thought my SIMS on FAR were pretty easy also. Maybe not easy, but none of them were totally out of left field and one of the SIMS was REALLY easy. I'm positive I got my research question wrong and I got comparable on SIMS and weaker on mc. That was how I felt during the exam too.

    FAR - 7/13 - 72, 11/13- 74, 2/14- 82!!! Best score ever (for me)!!!
BEC - 1/14 - 75!!! Perfect score! First Pass! YAY!!!
    AUD - 8/14 - 80!!!
    REG - 5/14 - 72, 10/14 - 66, 1/15 - 78 - DONE FOREVER!!!
I did 5 of the UNA and CPAExcel classes to earn units.

The FAR simulations have killed me both times. This latest time, they may have been a bit easier, but that is not saying much. Honestly, the only one I think I got fully right was the research one.

So it wouldn't be completely stupid to not study for the sims before going in to take the exam.. since they're so unpredictable? I have my exam in 2 weeks, and I've only just begun to work the MC questions. I'll do some of the sims in the wiley book but I don't think ill have time to really go through them.. wonder if it'll hurt my chances of passing far? And every time i start to do the sims, my computer gets really slow and freezes up

It's a crap shoot. I've never studied for a SIM in my life. If you know the subject matter, you should be able to do fine. My first FAR 74, I was stronger on the SIMS. My second FAR 74, I was weaker (not surprised, I ran out of time). If you know the subject matter, the SIMS shouldn't be too much to worry about. Just my opinion.
