My FAR experience

So I took my exam a couple days ago and here is my experience. Of course i get sat at computer 13, which was thrilling. Ok so back to the test. My first testlet was alright I think-I marked 6 I believe. Second testlet, marked 7 and it seemed comparable, maybe a little tougher. My third testlet was the hardest it seemed. I think I marked 8 or 9. I never marked more than 10 which I think is a good sign??? If someone has any input on that I would appreciate it. Then I got to the Sims with 90 minutes left right on schedule I wanted to be at. The Sims to me felt fairly simple to be honest, or so I think. Of course there was one that Becker did not cover at all, but I just tried to work through it the best I could. Then the other 5 and research were good I thought. I had 20 mins left but I just kept flipping through the sims to make sure I felt ok with my answers. Does anyone have any help on how this sounds or if it was comparable to your experience? I had that “I have no clue if I passed” feeling at the end and I really hope I got at least a 75. Your thoughts??

    AUD----92 5/31/12
    FAR----92 7/3/12
    RED----85 8/3/12
    BEC----?? 8/29/12

Seems like it went well and I think you will pass!!! SIMs are brutal and the fact that you didn't find them that bad indicates that you were prepared!!

I took FAR on Friday. I had a very similar experience. I thought Testlet 1 was medium and 2 was easy (which means I probably didn't do well on Testlet 1). The 3 testlet was the most difficult, if by no other means, they were simply longer, wordier problems with many more facts to account for.

In all my studying, I've done better on the simulations than the MCQs and the exam was no different. I pretty much breezed through the simulations. I was done and had 53 minutes left. So I used that time to look up all my simulations in the codification and see if I could catch any mistakes. I did make two changes as a result of my spare time.

Overall, I think I got between a 70-80 so I have no idea if I passed. I think I built the exam up bigger in my head than it was in real life. I was very nervous going in but settled down fairly quickly.

    ------------
    FAR - PASSED
    BEC - PASSED
    AUD - PASSED
    REG - 74
    <sigh>

I took my exam on Saturday and had a somewhat similar experience. The first testlet wasn't that bad and I marked maybe 4 questions. The second testlet was somewhat more challenging since it took me a little longer then the first testlet and I marked around 6 questions. The third testlet was very comparable to the 2nd testlet and I ended up marking like 6 or 7 questions. I don't recall any of my MCQ's being overly wordy or long. My simulations were all on familiar topics except for one, which I am pretty sure was a pretest question. I felt somewhat confident with my simulations, but I realize that I very well could have made careless errors. Like mbbransc I usually performed better on the sims then the MCQs in becker.

Overall, I think my multiple choice questions could go either way and I felt somewhat good about my simulations. I definitely didn't have a sick feeling when I left the testing center which is somewhat concerning since it seems like everyone who either felt good or alright about the test ends up failing it.

    FAR - 90
    AUD - 82
    REG - 93
    BEC - 80
