I just wanted to thank everyone for posting their experiences. I’ve been studying since April and today I’ve learned that I passed FAR (79). At the end of August I’ve gotten 85 on BEC. It would have been difficult to focus and be motivated for 3 months straight if there wasn’t for encouragement that I’ve gotten from this forum. To know that so many people are trying and are frustrated just as I was, gives you that extra boost you need when you are studying on Saturday night.

Anyways, I’ll probably get some business cards done saying: CPA 50%.

    Thanks Acct.

For me the trick to passing CPA exams on the first try has to be doing MCQs several times over. I've done it 3 times for FAR with Passmaster. So figure 1400 MCQs x 3. I'm averaging 3 months of study time before taking the exam. I'll do the same with my next 2 exams. After doing so many questions, I started liking them and they become almost a hobby.

Next one in line is AUD. 10 years ago when I finished college, auditing was my worst graded course. I barely got a C, all other accounting courses were A or B, so this one has me worried a bit. Volume (chapter wise) is not as bad as FAR.

i like how you shared your excitement with us, and i'm here to reflect that excitement right back and say, “congrats!”.

more importantly, thank you for giving a little “tid bit” about how you were able to succeed in your exams.

i always appreciate it when people share not only their passing scores, but also impart some wisdom as to how they were able to pass. i think this makes for a much more sustainable forum.

    thank you. and congrats
