For those of you that have passed FAR would you say it’s safe to just get a general idea of certain small topics(leasebacks) as opposed to spending a ton of time going through them?

Do you have the Ninja notes? I would recommend being VERY familiar with every topic mentioned in those notes. Being able to work through the small topics in any section could be the difference between a 74 and 75. Clearly, you can't know everything, so you'll have to be the judge as to which topics you think you should have a basic understanding of.

No ninja notes, I'm cruising through Becker the first time and making my own flashcards, it just feels like you have to limit the time you spend on certain parts or else you sacrifice major portions later.

Hope I'm not violating examine disclosure but,

I decided to completely skip personal F/S because it's such a small topic, but low and behold, I had a MC for it that I had to guess between three possible answers. I would like to say to skip over the small topics, such as bonds issued to employees or something like that, but you never know…..It's difficult because there are so many small details for FAR.

If you have the time, I would say to be familiar with the overall topic, and hopefully you can know enough to choose between two possible answers at least.

I wouldn't skip over any section. If there's a small part of topic that you just can't seem to grasp, move on. If you have free time see if you can find other resources that will help you understand it. I wouldn't spend days and days on leasebacks, move on and come back to it later. Get through all the material first then you can really focus on those weak areas. I think if you know 80 percent of the topic you'll be golden 🙂

Skip over it during your initial studying days, but come REVIEW everything. Chances are you'll probably understand when you see the information 2nd or 3rd time around…

That's the truth…I have to let things marinate. They make so much more sense for some reason after they have rolled around in my head for a while.
