Alright people, I need help…I’m confused by what I need to do, so here’s my story:

I have 150 quarter credits (5years of college), passed all 4 sections & the ethics exam. I don’t have the sufficient work experience & thus not licensed.

I’m moving to NY in few months and want to be licensed through NY eventually.

What do I need to do right now? Should I apply to NY right now, just to make sure I meet all the requirments?

    Please help!!!

    Thanks in advance!

Just a few questions that would help out:

How much experience do you have and in what area?

What type of position are you looking for, also public or private?

    Why the move?

I'm moving b/c my husband lives there!

Right now, I have essentially no experience, however, I start an internship with a CPA firm next month and will have some experience!

I'm assuming you will be working permanently in NY and that there's no chance you'd be moving back to WA…Check with WA and NY to see if you can transfer your score (there's a fee associated with it though) to NY and what other documentation you might need.

    CPA license in progress....

Yes, moving there permanently! Not likely that I'll be moving to WA back!
