Move up FAR one week earlier?

I was originally scheduled to take FAR on 10/12 but a spot just opened up on October 5th, which is this Saturday. I have been through all the FAR material, but let me be honest. I was expecting to fail because I just started a new job and the hours are already tough. I am using the ELL plan as best I could, but I know my study time is not quality. Reason being, I failed REG and that is all I could think of. I am actually excited to restudy for REG (crazy right?!). I know the next time I take REG I will crush it..and that is distracting me from studying FAR (that and I just started a new job). Plus, I only got through around 65-70% of the material.

Once I pass REG, then I can fully focus on FAR and all my study time will be quality study. I can only study well and pass when I feel focused and determined (which was the case with AUD and BEC).

Do you guys thinks I should reschedule my test and take it in 2 days? I’ll get maybe 5 hours top of studying within the next week and I am afraid I might forget some stuff by 10/12/

p.s. it is also my birthday on Sunday and I kind of wanted to enjoy at least a few hours on my birthday with my family, but I am willing to sacrifice that if you guys think I should keep my study schedule.

If you're expecting to fail – why not reschedule for mid-November? Whether you take it now or in November, you can't retake until January so you might as well give yourself a better shot.

I agree with Jeff! Take Sunday off with your family and enjoy your birthday. Then, you need to forget about REG for now and hit FAR with all you have. Reschedule it for November and pass that sucker. I admit that the 74 on BEC from August really hurt, but I am using that frustration to tackle AUD now. BEC will receive the beat down from me soon, and you should do the same to REG.

    CPA EXAM: DONE!!!!
    Ethics Course: Passed
    Application Mailed: 3/16/15
    Professional Conduct Exam: 97
    Certification Date: 4/2/15!!!

I meant to say I got through all of the material (lectures/notes) but 65-70% of the MCQ in the becker software (didn't even do SIMS yet..but I know MCQ>SIMS anyway)

The only thing that is preventing me from wanting to reschedule to a later date is that I am so frustrated/annoyed with the FAR material and REG has been on my mind since I failed back in July. I keep thinking that once I pass REG, I can fully focus on FAR. Also, I got Yeager for REG because I remember Jeff saying he got a 92 using the homestudy, so I am excited to actually use it.

But even though I think that, I know you guys are right. I was debating whether I should ask this question or not, but I am so glad I did.
