    Dude/Dudette,

You sir or ma'am are a lightweight. Check this out:

Feb 1994: took all four parts (Passed Audit 78, 69 on BEC, 50+ on REG and FAR)

Sept 1994: took all four parts (Passed BEC79, 69 on Audit, 50+ on REG and FAR)

March 1995: took all four parts (Passed BEC 78, Passed BEC 76, 50+ on REG and FAR)

Sept 1995: Took REG and FAR, failed both

March 1996: Took REG and FAR, failed both

March 1997: Took REG and FAR, failed both

Sept 1997: Took REG and FAR, failed both

[Insert elevator music here while I take a short 12 year jaunt into Information Systems]

    Jan 2012: Auditing—87!

    Feb 27, 2012: BEC–????

That’s 22 exams in the bag. If all goes well, I will have taken 24 exams and spent close to $10,000 by the time I am done. I demand RESPECT PEOPLE! 😀

But my study ethic is much much better this time. As opposed to just putting time in and hoping as with my last exams, I am intent on knowing everything and repeating both the notes and MCQ’s until I do. I’m studying for a 100 instead of a 75. It’s made all the difference in the world.

Wow! You all are amazing! I admire the tenacity. When I failed BEC I cried; It's not a good feeling.

F - Passed...THANK YOU, LORD. GLORY TO GOD.
B - Passed...THANK YOU, LORD. GLORY TO GOD.
A - Passed...THANK YOU, LORD. GLORY TO GOD.
R - Passed...THANK YOU, LORD. GLORY TO GOD.

    Failing SUCKS…worst feeling EVER.

The reason that I quit the profession in the first place had a lot to do with this stupid exam…but I was trying after just getting married, buying a home, starting a new career, and graduating with my BBA in 3 years. I was burnt out and very tired.

Today is another subject. I was shocked though when I counted up the number of sections taken. OUCH.

Well now my 8 attempts don't seem so painful! It's people like you who made me think that even if I did lose credit on portions of the exam, I would keep pushing on.

If this is what you want, keep at it!

    AUD - 73, 82 7/2010
    REG - 79 7/2010
    BEC - 72, 74, 78 7/2011
    FAR - 66, 83 1/2012 - AND I'M DONE! Best feeling ever.

PS, don't remember where this quote is from but I like it and have it on a post-it in my cube:

“The only one who can stop you from achieving your goals is you. Don't let YOU stop YOU!”

    AUD - 73, 82 7/2010
    REG - 79 7/2010
    BEC - 72, 74, 78 7/2011
    FAR - 66, 83 1/2012 - AND I'M DONE! Best feeling ever.

That quote is quite true….my first set of attempts my wife would try to motivate me but my mind was like a saturated sponge where it was just tired and overwhelmed.

It’s like being a drug addict. People can do all kinds of interventions on your behalf but until you find whatever motivation you need to pass and decide you want to pass more than you want to fail, it’s hopeless. You have to find that fire inside to where you change from “I hope I pass” to “I will pass”.

Ok I don't have as many behind me as some but I'm still here! The only way to fail is to quit and failure is not an option!
