Governmental and NFP, not because it was the most difficult, but because I have never been exposed to it before (never took it in school). People tend to underestimate this section a lot and don't study it (it's quite a large section of the exam), but they are relatively easier points to get (not as much computational questions compared to other topics).

I also remember spending plenty of time with pensions and leases as they were confusing to me!

    Good luck!

    BEC - 85 5/15
    REG - 83 7/15
    AUD - 89 8/15

How much depth does the exam go into on govt/nfp? The chapters are so long, and 9 is extremely detailed! I know the test is about 25% from these areas so I know I can't over look it, but I feel like I should narrow myself to knowing the big main topics and that I can better use my time reviewing other chapters to the point of being confident rather than memorizing every single detail in these 160 pages. Any feedback on this? I finished 8 yesterday and do not feel great about it, and started 9 today and just feel like theres SO much.

    HELP!

    AUD: 98
    REG: 91
    BEC: 86
    FAR: 83

DONE DONE DONE and DONE all on the first try! It IS possible, just keep on studying!

There is no need to memorize every single detail. As they say, FAR is mile wide and an inch deep. When I took the exam I found that to be true. Government and NFP didn't really “stick” the first time around mainly because it was foreign to me. I made flashcards of the JEs and the definitions, etc until I got the big concepts down. After that, time permitting, I would go over the “smaller” details.

That being said, if flashcards aren't your thing (they aren't for a lot of people), do whatever helps you to make the concepts stick.

    Good luck!

@CB I'm having the same problems… there is soooo much information. Based on a lot of what I've read from people who've taken it in the past, JEs are really big.

Are FAR MCQ on the actual exam long questions? I was so shocked the first time I took BEC how short the questions were compared to the Wiley book.

    BEC Feb 2015 68 - rematch Apr 2015 - 84
    FAR July 2015 77
    AUD Oct 2015 74 Feb 2016 71 April 2016 85
    REG Jan 2016 67 July 2016

It has been my experience that most questions on the actual exam are relatively short. I've used Becker to prepare for the three sections I've taken, and I fond the actual MCQ questions to be a major relief compared to what I was used to from studying. I was originally worried about to how I was going to get through all of the MCQ, because the Becker questions could take 5-10 minutes each. Thankfully, even of the tougher calculation-driven problems on the real test would only take me 3-4 minutes, and those were few and far between.
