License-Experience Requirement in Pennsylvania

I was wondering if anyone who is or will be applying for licensure in PA does not have a licensed supervisor. My direct supervisor’s license is not current. However, my boss above him is currently licensed. I called the Board but they wouldn’t give me a clear answer on whether this would meet the “work under a licensed CPA for 2 years” requirement.

Has anyone else applied and received their license by not having their ‘immediate’ supervisor sign their application?

Or is their anyone in another state that has this same requirement, but got licensed using a “higher up” supervisor?

I don't see why not – the super-boss reviews everything anyways. In NY, I've seen a coworker successfully sign for another coworker, b/c they could be peer-reviewing each other's work.

    I really can't pass again!
