Last few days of review

    Going into my last few days of review (Exam is Friday). I was wondering what people thought about going through the Becker Sims for each section. I was planning to spend one day going through all the sims and then the next day really drilling the journal entries. However, I have seen here that some people have said that Becker sims are not comparable to exam sims and that understanding the concepts and knowing the journal entries is more important.

    Do you think it would be better to spend one day going through sims and then one day going through journal entries? Or would I be better off spending two days really learning/memorizing the journal entries? (already went through the sims once when going through lectures)

    Any opinions/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. And good luck to anyone else taking their exams soon!

    @cpanood22 –

    IMO, it depends on how comfortable you are with the MCQs. It gets to the point where you have all the answers of the multiple choice questions memorized. I see a difficult question and think, “Oh, this was a really tough question my first time around. I know the answer is C and I plan on reviewing a whole section today, so I'll move on. I know this.” That's when I start doing simulations, even if I've done them before. I think SIMS make you piece everything together, instead of condensing a topic between a couple multiple choice selections.

    Honestly if you are familiar with how the sims work (i.e. how to move between tabs, and how to use the calculator, etc) I wouldn't waste a lot of time reviewing them. Not likely the content of the SIMS on the exam will even vaguely resemble what you saw in your review.
