I’m using Wiley on my own and there are so many information that I dont even think it would be in the exam, like really minor stuff. Should I really memorize everything?

I also have the summary note of Becker 2011. It certainly does have key points but seems insufficient to do the Wiley test bank. Should I just remember what in the summary note?

I agree with Jeff… Wiley questions are tough! Even harder than Becker; however, I still think Wiley's questions and explanations are better than Becker's (did I just admit that!?!)

I love them both but I stand by that Wiley can get to detailed. Below is a thread on AMT that was found in the Wiley Test banks:

I still love Wiley Test Bank but if it is super detailed and I can't find anything in the Ninja Notes on it or it mentioned in my Becker Book, I skip it.

Yep! Don't get me wrong, I am still a Beckerlieber… The thing is Becker is easy to memorize and their questions tend to be kind of surffice level…Wiley questions are much harder. I usually start with Wiley and transition to Becker.

I have done the same thing for REG. I take a lot of mini quizzes in Wiley and then a practice test in Becker. This keeps the MCQ from being memorized and gives me a wider variety.

@akb, I do the same thing! If I come accross a really detailed MCQ that is asking for ridiculous things that were never mentioned in the Becker book, I skip it! No use in spinning your wheels on the small things… specially in FAR – it really is a mile long but an inch deep… know a little of everything.

@forever4 do you own the full version of Becker?I don't trust people who don't have the full versions of review courses lol. Jk, if you're talking about the chapter summaries that are between 1-2 pages long…they are good to get an overall feel of the topics but are absolutely not enough. If you're looking for good summarized versions of topics, get the NINJA notes.

The Becker notes are good but you are going to face the same problem. Becker notes are written in accordance with Becker lectures. If it isn't really covered then it isn't in the summary notes. I think that as long as you do plenty of MCQ in Wiley and Becker and use the Becker notes along with personal ones, you willl cover your bases. I think the biggest thing to keep in mind is that the Summary notes are just that…summary…don't depend on them too much…Is that an abiguous answer or what?

hahahhaha. I'm pretty sure I dont need NINJA note for FAR right now. I have pretty good understanding of all the topics that are covered in Wiley. I just have to memorize those details like what in OCI what in IS so I dont mind Becker summary note. I just wonder if it covered enough stuff.

I have the whole Becker's textbook and note and such just not lecture. Got it from someone who passed last year. I dont really need a person to guide me through all that. Usually reading the textbook is enough for me.

Thank you guys though! I'll practice more WIley and CPAfree and see how it goes. I hope luck will come along too!
