I took the REG yesterday, after having studied for quite some time. But, the night before the exam, everything seemed to blur. I definitely over-studied to the point of exhaustion.

I started the exam and the first 24 took about 30 mins. The next 24 took about 24 mins, and the last 24 about 23 mins or so. The questions didn’t seem to get any harder or longer. In fact on my third testlet I had quite a few lone liners. This depressed me mid-test lol. Then the SIMS came, and they seemed very easy. I finished them in about 30+ mins, and then started checking. So I left the exam with 30 mins to spare.

Did I just bomb? When I took FAR, the MC got ridiculously hard towards the end, and the SIMS seemed to go on forever. :*(((

Just to put your mind at ease a bit, the sims are not adaptive and are selected before you ever start. Having sims that were “easy” may just mean that you knew the topics. The same goes for the MCQ's. Easy is a relative term. Something is only easy if you know it. Think positive!

Kricket is right–as long as you checked your answers and you were fairly confident of them, you should be fine.

I left REG with over an hour to spare, and look at my score. You could just be an awesome test taker 🙂

Thanks for the encouragement. Yes, I think it's possible I did well! You finished it with an hour to spare and made an 89?! WOW! Good! This will encourage me for my last 2 tests. 🙂

I also remember my testlets staying at about the same difficulty. Some of my SIMS came out of left field though–if yours were pretty straight forward then you seem to be in pretty good shape. Are you in the third wave of score releases?

I took REG on Saturday and I felt the exact same way. I definitely studied more this go around but it didn't seem super difficult at all. I'm hoping I did well and didn't just bomb it. I guess we'll find out June 7th or 8th!

30 mins to spare in a 3 hour exam…. You must have done really good… Hang in there, dont know which way it will go for you… It also depends on how many candidates sat for the exam in this window and how they did etc , etc…

I had the exact same experience in FAR (just took it this past Saturday). I felt that the testlets didn't get any more difficult, and the questions didn't get lengthy either compared to the other exams I've taken. I guess we'll all find out on score release day huh? lol
