[CPA Hopeful]

So I just got home from taking REG exam and feel like I totally blew it. The only sim I feel good about is the research sim which I got with about 30 seconds left in the exam (whew). One sim I absolutely knew nothing about so I pretty much guessed through the whole thing. The other sims were challenging but I at least felt like I put representative answers up (whether or not they are actually correct is another story). I’m pretty much left to hope that my MC carried me because the sims were excruciating. It did feel like my 2nd testlet got more difficult but the 3rd one not so much so don’t know what to think there. Oh well, it’s either AUD in early October or REG in a rematch…Please let it be AUD…Anyway, thanks for reading, just had to vent a little.

Sit back and enjoy the show… there is nothing you can do about it. Just remember, every test taker feels the same about regulation and the simulations, so its fair game at this point….

@ CPATerminator – Thanks!!! I hope so too. Obviously I am just going to expect the worst that way if I did fail I already expected it and if I passed then I can be ecstatic for a day or 2 before moving on to AUD…

it's better to judge how you did by how you felt going in rather than how you felt coming out of the exam.

I read that somewhere on here, and I think it's true.

I did feel like I was well prepared going in so if I gage it by that I know that I did pretty much everything possible and put in the time and effort to pass this exam. Now it's just wait and see and hope my preparation beforehand overcomes my poor feeling after the test…

I actually think that its best to go by how you feel right after you take it then by what you might think later.

As in, your first impression is usually the right one.

I felt really good (90+) about last REG exam when I came out, but then against my better judgement, looked in the book and realized I miissed several MCs and parts of SIMs. That sent me into a world of panic and even caused me to join this forum to ease the wait. Till the last minute I believed my score to be somewhere between 73 and 85… then BAM a 92.

From the what you described it looks like it could be close but I think you will scape by. Now just try to get busy with something else and not think about it. (Easier said then done, huh?)
