    Has anyone walked out of FAR and felt terrible about the test then went on to pass? I think I have a tendency to get hung up on questions I didn’t know more than remembering the easy ones.

    Good news is that I finished all questions on time and I know I nailed the research sim. I didn’t leave any Sims uncompleted which hopefully helps.

    IFRS was WAY more challenging than what I saw in Wiley. Overall I feel terrible… Maybe cause I was scoring in the 80’s on Wiley sample exams an the real thing felt 10X as difficult.

    Is there any hope? Anyone think they tanked and actually passed? Guess its time to pray.

    FAR - 2012 - PASSED (YAEGER)
    AUD - 2012 - PASSED (YAEGER + NINJA NOTES)

    REG - 2013 - PASSED (YAEGER + NINJA NOTES + NINJA AUDIO)

    ETHICS - 2013 - PASSED

    DONE!!! Thank you A71 for all the support! Hiya!!!

    I took FAR on 1/26 and was absolutely certain I failed…in fact I had started studying again because I was planning on a retake in the beginning of April. I had at least 6-8 IFRS questions that I hadn't a clue about…not in my study material, and then on the Sims I ran out of time and didn't enter an amount in a calculation that should have been included- they

    must give partial credit for the journal entry portion if you get the dr. and cr. amounts wrong because I PASSED! I had a

    job interview yesterday and didn't open my score because I didn't want to be depressed due to a failing grade so I waited and opened it this morning- I was certain I had failed! I'm finally done- it's worth the journey!!!

    FAR 80

    AUD 79

    BEC 78

    REG 81

    I think I'm glowing!!!!!!!

    @CPA-Go..Easy..you skim the chapter the first time…read it a bit more carefully the second time…from the third time on you just focus on key words til you can picture the text in your mind….The key:discipline, discipline, and discipline….I've never had to stay up late (past 11) while studying..Sleep helps too..lol

    Btw, you sound like this girl from college who would always say “you're such an overachiever”lol…

    I dont't know about you, but the fear of losing $500+ ~200 hours of study time just make me study even harder these last days. In fact, I think I did like 300-400 MCQs yesterday in 3-4 hours…

    As far as I know I've studied mfao, so failure is not an option………we got this bro!

    Sherrid—what materials did you use. I'm thinking about getting another cram material to get me those extra 2 points. Any recommendations?

    @CPATerminator

    Wow… 300-400 MCQs in 4 hours? Did you eat/drink anything special [other than coffee]?

    lol, I'm off college for a while already… my brain is frozen (yet I'm not trying to make that as an excuse though).

    @CPAhopefulTX- I used Becker and Jeff's ninja notes..they were a good supplement. Becker definitely covers all you need to know- I was a nmemonic freak!!! Before I started the test I wrote down all the ones I felt I needed before answering any questions- GRASSP SE PAPI , BASE, IDEA and PUFER- I also noted for reference that PUFER is net of tax (for me when I'm in a time crunch I tend to forget things that I know) SIR AGE, I paid attention to what Becker says is heavily tested- it's true anything with an asterik you need to know- CAR IN BIG, etc. They have a great example of EPS in the text showing how to calculate weighted average- remember stock divs and splits are calculated as of the beg of the period, for some reason accrual to cash gave me a hard time but I used SPEAR BAR from the ninja notes as well as the IFRS topics. When I took the test I didn't notice the testlets getting more difficult- just longer calculations- that's why I didn't have much time for the sims- I did the research tab 1st it was easy and I found the answer right away- I credit this to using my free access to the professional literature for the research portion of Becker's sims- I found my answers there instead of in Beckers tab- so I knew how to navigate the site quickly- you should most definitely do this- you get the free access for 6 months with your NTS. Chpts 6 and 7 are always heavily tested as well as gov't but everyones test is different – one other approach I used was to read the last sentence of the question1st and then read the entire question so I could look for the trick in the question- quite often there is one and you don't want to screw up a simple question by missing the trick- remember to pay attention to dates!!! Bond calculations, EPS, Depreciation, and for segment reporting.

    I bolded DATES at the top of my scratch paper and 3rd man out. Believe me if I can pass these tests anyone can- I'm still in shock that I passed…I was positive I bombed the sims- one was from outerspace- I hadn't a clue as to what was being asked- that must have been the pretest- then I forgot to add an amount in a schedule I had to prepare but I must have been given partial credit because I entered the correct journal entries (dr. to asset account and cr. to expense account) but because I forgot to add an amount all of my calculations were incorrect. Honestly it's amazing that I passed!!! I would give you my Becker materials but I'm not sure if I can- since I'm not selling them- it might be okay but I'm not sure- I only have the REG and FAR dvd's because I used the course cd on three different computers- Good luck to you!!

    @Sherrid

    Hi, I'm using Becker, too. Thank you so much for the info.

    I am not sure if I am well prepared for this one and my score is expiring by the end of this month.
