I think the MC went pretty well but I didn’t finish the 2nd sim. I did the communication and research tho.

Has anyone out there passed when they didn’t finish the exam?

I've heard of others passing without finishing a simulation. Don't let your hopes down!

Same here, I felt positive about the MC and Sim 1 of FAR, but had only 10 minutes left when I started Sim 2. BAD TIME MGMT! It just received my scores yesterday and received a 66! Quite devistating, but I have a retake of BEC (71) on Nov.30. No time to sulk!

Here positive news for you:

I left plenty blank on both Simulations (only had 20 minutes left for each simulation) and passed with 4 points to spare. Just found out yesterday. Blows my mind. . . BTW, it appears that only one of the 2 written communication sections is graded. 50/50 chance they will grade the one you finished. If you felt good about the MC, then I'll bet you passed.

A friend just told me she passed. She said she just felt OKAY throughout the M/C, and only had about 50 min for the both simulations. She did the first sim fairly well, and when she got to the second, she only worked on the WC and blindly guessed the rest (she only had a couple minutes left at this point). She ended up with a 75, but that's all that matters!

I got a 95 on FAR.

But I finished both simulations.

Seriously, though, I've seen more than a handful of posts on this forum where people have said they didn't touch a simulation but passed. I've also seen posts where people say they cried, knew they failed, didn't finish the simulations, and ended up passing. So don't worry! There's a good chance you passed. The simulations are 30 points. The written parts are 10, so the non-written parts are 20. If you didn't touch one of them, that means you will only lose 10 points. If you did well on the other parts, you'll pass.

I didn't finish the second simulation, and I still passed. I got through most of it, but the last tab, I only had a few seconds so I was just quickly selecting accounts. 🙂

If you felt good about the MC and got through the first simulation alright and did the communication and research for the second, there's a good chance you passed.

I did not do great on the MCQs and left most of the sim tabs blank.I didnt knw answers to both the sims.Wrote crappy communication.I was all set to give up cpa cos i did not think i could get beyond FAR.It was beyond hard for me as i basically struggle with accounting.

A day after the Aug release,day before my AUD(-which i decided to take cos i had an NTS,but did not prepare at all as i had given up on FAR and cpa),i went through aniother71 and saw people posting scores.So just for the heck of it,i l entered my FAR number in Nasba expecting somewhere around the 40s or 50s.I saw an 80!!!!

That was the day that tested my faith.Now 3 months later i am all done.

SO pray hard and leave the rest to god.GL!!!

One of my friends actually started restudying for FAR after she took it because she only finished less than half of one sim…she was so positive she failed..and then she passed with a 77.

there's a good chance that you passed. if you put the time in and understood most of the material on the test, i would put a bet on you passing.

remember you just need the 75–if you put the time in and studied your chances are good, even though you did not finish everything. there are many accounts on this site like yours, and the end result was positive.

I have some news that might make you feel better. I took FAR on 10/29, and did not finish one tab on the first sim since I was running out of time and wanted to get my other WC in on the second one, and I did only one tab on the second sim. I had about 2 minutes left and just started filling in random choices. I just got my score today and I passed with a 76! Don't give up hope yet. 🙂

I'm in the same boat here. Felt good about the MCQ's. Felt a mixture of so so with a splash of “blah” about the 1st sim. Spent too much time on it and left myself 16 mins to complete the 2nd sim. Wrote a half arsed WC, and flew through the tabs. It stinks because the topics were definitely managable. I just ran out of time. I wish the sims would have been in reverse order. Oh well, thanks for all of the positive feedback. Nice to hear that there is still a shot.
