Hello friends, today I took FAR which was my first exam in this looong journey.

My testlets went from Medium to very hard to hard. The Sims were not too bad.

I figured out the research sim and from other 6 Sims I feel that I did somehow good in 4. The other 2 were painful.

I feel disappointed because of the MCQs. I feel like they were way too long and so wordy! I really studied hard but don’t know why I didn’t do good with the MCQs!! I felt them to be much more complicated then Becker progress test and Gliem MCQs!

Can you guys tell me from your experience what are my passing chances??

That's funny, because I had the almost opposite experience. MCQ's were great and SIMS were brutal- I guess we'll just have to wait untill next week for our scores!

I'm now using Gliem MCQ and they seem really, really easy. I can usually answer 18-19 out of 20 when quizzing and I'm more or less learning auditing as I go!?!?

I just took FAR and I felt that the MCQs were a lot harder than most of what I had practiced with Becker and Wiley. They were really lengthy, so I had to rush through a lot to have enough time to complete the SIMS, and I didn't finish one completely.

I'm just going to try to stay positive! I feel horrible right now and feel like I need to pick up my FAR book again, but I guess we'll see what kind of score I get next week :-

When I took FAR for the 2nd time I thought my MCQs were also a bit ridiculous and I thought I completely bombed the sims. I wanted to cry so bad after the test but had to go straight to work so I held the tears back. LOL some how I passed with an 83! I had a similar experience when I got an 82 on AUD – thought it was a miserable test and that the questions weren't even auditing related.

So there is hope of a passing score for you! 🙂 Good luck! If for some reason you didn't pass this time, don't let yourself get discouraged. I thought I rocked my first ever exam and failed. It made me think I'd never be able to pass.
