I have two years exp in a big4 in a middle eastern country where there is no tax and they use IFRS. Right now i am doing my CPA and awaiting results. Do you think there is any chance of getting a job in US especially in a Big4?

Why don't you use your contacts at the Big 4 firm you were with and see whether they can get you an interview with the same firm in the US?

hmmmm….not a good idea i guess. I am sure they wouldnt bother helping me. Bosses care only when you work after that they dont especially from the place where i come from. But what do you think is my prospects or chances of applying over here? doesnt have to be Big4 , just any audit firm.

Really? You worked big4 and you're going to completely ignore trying to utilize your networking you should have done? There is no way to answer that you can get a job or not. Sure apply. But don't waste resources you have.

Talk to your contacts at the Big4. Regardless of the country you are in, you have a much better shot at getting your foot in the door. I am actually trying to get in with the Big4 in the Middle East (experience with a top 10 non Big4 firm). I figured being Middle Eastern, and speaking fluent Arabic I'd be in a good position, but I can't seem to get my foot in the door. You're in a much better position knowing people within the firm.
