Hey guys haven’t seen you on here in awhile! JJM how’s studying for REG going?

Jen – How’s your retake for AUD studying going?

I rescheduled AGAIN to the 19th so I will be sitting the day after Jen. This holiday season just completely messed me up. UGH. I am NOT rescheduling again and I’m just going to suck it up and get it done. Hope that this one won’t be the one that messes me up and I have to keep retaking!

Hope you guys had a great holiday season.

Hey Ashley! You're alive! Haven't seen you on here either! I am doing ok, the holidays have messed up my schedule as well, but I am enjoying the extra time with the family! I just about finished with A5 and I think this time I WILL pass for sure! I took the whole weekend and today off from studying and do not feel guilty at all! I needed to spend more time with the family! I will hit the books hard next week and will soon start reviewing and finishing up Wiley MCQs. How is your studying doing? Becker is really good for AUD, are you supplementing with something else?

@jjm how's REG going for ya?

hey Jen! Yes sometimes we just need a break and time to relax (HA). Studying is going pretty good going through and reviewing and doing A2 tomorrow (for review). I'm using Becker and I also have NINJA notes that seemed to work for me for FAR so hoping it will work for AUD. It is really hard to concentrate on AUD as it is boring! I bet you'll pass too!! Are you using Becker & Wiley for AUD?

Yes! I am using Becker and Wiley Test bank this time around.. I am very impressed with the Wiley software, considering how affordable it is, it is a very powerful testbank, very comparable to Becker. I thought about getting the NINJA notes, but I am short on cash from the holidays lol, I might just bite the bullet and purchase them- Do you find them helpful for AUD? I bought them for FAR and they were good.

Yes I really do like the NINJA notes for AUD because of the fact that AUD is just hard to get through my head! 😉 It's not that it's difficult stuff it's just boring to study and it's SO easy to mix up words! The NINJA notes have helped me keep things straight(er) 🙂 I think I'll supplement Becker with Wiley test bank for REG but we will see. I plan on taking BEC next I see you're tackling REG (I'm almost wishing I would have done REG first heard it's pretty difficult?)

Here's to AUD! How many hours a day do you typically study?

Yo! I also took a break during the holidays. I still listened to the lectures on the way to work (2 hours worth a day) and read the Becker Final Review while at the gym (45 mins), but didn't take notes and only have done one section of MCQs with notes. I'm working REG backwards and starting with structures and BLaw first. Tax is the first four sections and after the first section I thought I was floored. I've never taken a tax class in my life so it's all new to me. So far I've listened to 5 out of 8 lectures. Not taking notes this time because I did with Audit but I never went back and reviewed them so it was a waste of time. I am going to continue listening to the lectures and Final review lectures while driving, reading at the gym and begin pounding out the MCQs while taking notes on each question. I also have the NINJA notes and Wiley test bank which I'll begin using after I exhaust the Becker materials. I am scheduling my exam for the last day in February. I am a one-man shop for my company and closing out the year and preparing for the audit will consume me. I'm not going to take any chances in scheduling it before the auditors come in February. REG is a beast but I think I'll be fine with 8 weeks of studying.

I really think that the Becker Final Review book has been the biggest reason I've done so well. It's really taken the topics and summarized the major points. I've then read that book over and over again while listening to the lectures of the final review as well.

@Jenuno01 – I think using Wiley this time should really help. I did 20 MCQ quizes w/o SIMS of all the topics to see my progress. I thought that really helped me. I slowly saw my score go from high 60s to mid 70s. I never got higher than that, but I also only studied for 3+ weeks. I still hate that you nailed the MCQs and then the SIMS were your downfall for AUD. Are you doing anything additonal to prepare for the SIMS?

@AshleyCap – Glad to hear the studying is going well. Have you been doing any mini quizes with Wiley? Have you used the Final Review from Becker before? You're right that with you pushing back AUD that BEC is probably your best bet next.

hey JJM I don't have Wiley planning on possibly using it for REG once that time comes. Do you like Wiley? I also don't have the final review for Becker just the regular review. Do you think the Final review is worth it? Are you using both the regular review and the final review or just the final review?!

Yea I'm restudying/reviewing A3 now almost want to move my test up at this point to get it done and over with but I've changed it twice already don't think I want to pay more $ to move it again 😉 Perhaps having all this time left will get me to pass?! Yikes I hope so. AUD is entirely too boring for me.

    Jen how are you doing?
