ok everybody, after pushing AUD back to July from the end of May, I have this exam next Friday at noon.

I am in supreme cram mode right now with MCQ’s and sim practice. I have even resorted to re-reading the Becker book.

Anybody have any suggestions on anything else I should be reviewing before I go into this thing?

Also, how close are the Becker questions to the actual exam? Anybody have any experience with this?

Are you taking the progress tests and the final tests? These tests will identify your weaknesses and strengths. For areas needing extra work you may want to re-read the text and do MC questions. Your plan is a good one.

I also used the Gleim testbank for audit.

I thought the Becker material and MC questions were good. The Gleim helped with adding another layer to my knowledge.

I scored about the same on the Final exam as the real exam.

i have not taken the progress tests or the finals yet… i am going through all the homework problems as many times as i can… there are over 1000 so i have my hands full… i am not scoring as i would like, i am having a problem sticking to my first choice and second guessing myself then finding out that my first choice was the correct answer… sigh… this has been a real problem for me.

The progress tests are jsut the homework questions. I rarely change an answwer once I select it. The only time I do is if I discover I have misread the question. Perhaps if you challenge yourself before you change it. Try to justify a change. A teacher long ago told us to stick with our first choice – he was right. Trust your first pick and trust your gut!

Are you reading all the answers before selecting your choice? When you answer a question do you read the right and wrong choices? Sometimes the explainations have new information in them.

    Good luck!

i am really working on just selecting my first choice and dealing with it…

i am reading all the answer choices before i select it. when i read the questions i dont always read the wrong and right choices, i really should do that, that is some pretty good advice. i will look into doing this to get more information.

    thanks.

I found the Becker AUD to match the exam very well. Don't skimp on the evidence chapter. Many people go light since it is a bit confusing and you need to do the exact opposite. Shoot to be scoring close to 90% on the MC questions. Make sure you are learning the concepts and not just the answers. The progress tests are great tools for touching all the topics in a quicker method. If you select all lectures you'll get 100 questions (pulled from the homework question bank) weighted approximately how the exam will be. Like the person above said, it is a good for identifying weak areas to focus on.

honestly, i think there are just too many questions in the bank for me to memorize them… i'm happy about that because i really want to learn the concepts.

i really hope i do well on this exam on friday…

Last night I was thinking about your comment regarding changing your answer. What I try to do when I miss a question is to re-read the question. Go through all the response solutions and why a response was correct or incorrect. Re-read the question and read the reponse again. It reinforces the correct choice.

If I am still having trouble – I will write a note – this also reinforces the right answer in my mind.

    Hope this helps.

thanks for the advice, it nice to know there are people out there thinking of ways to help others… i really do appreciate it.

i finished up aud 2 last night again, i just got to the library and i'm going to tackle aud 3 and 4 hopefully in the next 3-4 hours and really learn this stuff.

i am not scoring as high as i would like to be on the mcq's right now… i need to really figure out a way to retain this information better.
