Is this the normal rate for completing review programs per section?

I can do about 60-100 questions a day and about 3-5 simulations on top of that.

Say we chose the lower limit of the variance. This means that 1500 questions – basic review number for any program – would take 25 days. If we could do 100 questions a day, the review would take 15 days. This is without any practice tests or quizzes which are commonly thrown into the mix.

Is this a normal rate, or am I going above average. From what I’ve been reading, people spend about 3-4 hours every other day on average. I’m trying to spend about 4 -7 hours a day.

Am I a slow poke, or is this normal….for 60 questions to take me about 3-4 hours including those simulations….I’m basically taking a CPA exam every day plus or minutes 40 multiple choice questions….

I think this is more work than any other test out there, granted it isn’t rocket science, I think for me, rocket science would be easier.

Anyways, careful what we wish for.,…grass is greener on the other side, and all that boring jazz….

Sometimes more difficult chapters can take longer than others. You shouldn't judge your time studying by how many multiple choice questions you get done. Instead, you should judge your time by how many quality study hours you put in.I spend about 4-7 hours a day studying and some days I get more multiple choice questions done than other days. It really just depends on your strong areas. You shouldn't try to rush things but at the same time I feel that dragging studying out over a long period of time is bad too, at least for me because I would forget everything.

It also depends on what section you are studying for. I found with AUD that I could fly through multiple choice questions but with BEC and FAR it took me a lot longer to do the homework. The key to passing the exam is learning how to do the multiple choice and understanding the concepts well enough to make educated guesses on questions you are unsure about. So my advice would be to practice multiple choice until your head explodes.

    BEC - Feb 2012: 80
    AUD - Feb 2012: 84
    FAR - Apr 2012: 78
    REG - May 2012: 90

    Thanks Becker!

It doesn't matter how many questions you do or how long it takes you. What matters is whether or not you understand the material. Quality, not quantity.
