I’m thinking of switching the way I study to watch all the videos and read the book first and then work the multiple choice question after making my master note sheet. Has anyone done this and just watched all the videos at once?

I'm doing that… The verdict is still out. I watched Jeff's video on the NINJA method, which is pretty much

    NAIL the video/lectures

    Intense notes

    Now rewrite the notes

Just (??) do every MCQ you can get your hands on??

Altogether?? review notes, review mcq in weak areas

Look for the video because I might have some of that wrong. I finished my lectures earlier this week. I've been rewriting my notes and working mcq and sims. I'm focusing on comprehension of the material over memorization.

    FAR - 7/13 - 72, 11/13- 74, 2/14- 82!!! Best score ever (for me)!!!
BEC - 1/14 - 75!!! Perfect score! First Pass! YAY!!!
    AUD - 8/14 - 80!!!
    REG - 5/14 - 72, 10/14 - 66, 1/15 - 78 - DONE FOREVER!!!
I did 5 of the UNA and CPAExcel classes to earn units.

Thanks I will check out that video. I'm really hoping the strategy moves things along a little faster but we will see!

I can tell you this: I tried watching the videos and then after each module I would do MCQs (in Wiley book and in test bank) until I was proficient at them. Then I moved to the next video module. And that did NOT work. When it came time for my final review, I forgot everything I learned at the beginning and it took up too much valuable time to re-learn it all. Now I'm retaking FAR and taking detailed notes while watching all modules first. Then I'm going to spend the rest of the time doing MCQs and SIMS.

    FAR 66, 80
    AUD 86
    REG 76
    BEC 74, 77 - DONE!!

I took detailed notes during my first pass over the material. I started just watching the lectures (usually while I was putting my kids to sleep), then immediately after (once they were asleep and I could have my hands back) reading Roger's book and taking detailed notes. Then I realized that was taking forever. So I started watching the lectures with my book and my notes, did a few mcq. Now I'm rewriting my notes and doing mcq after each section. I'm using Roger and I've found it frustrating at times that there is a disconnect in what he covers in a section vs. what the test bank includes under one topic. I am really anxious to get through all of my notes. I really do feel like the 2nd pass and writing EVERYTHING is helping my comprehension. I also bought a little spiral bound note card thing for my flash cards. I've found a lot of the stuff by the time I write the flash card, I have it down, but it will be good as I continue to go through the material to have this as a quick refresher.
