I have FAR coming up in 7 days and it is my first test. I don’t feel prepared at all; I went through all 10 Becker chapters once but I haven’t been keeping up with the knowledge and forgot a lot of them. I work 25 hours a week. Do I have a chance at passing at all and how should I spend the remaining days?! Thank you so much for your help.

Take a deep breath. There is only so much you can do, give it your best shot. Worrying and stressing out is a waste of time, energy and patience.

FYI- you have to dig deep to make time for this test. Many people taking the test work 50+ hours a week and are married with children. Taking this test requires you to make adjustment and realize there are trade-offs and sacrifices. You'll get out of it what you put in.

    Good luck.

With FAR because there is so much information it is really important to review the stuff from the beginning to keep it fresh. In the last week, I suggest reading your notes from the beginning and doing an enormous amount of MCQ's daily. Take notes on difficult concepts to help them sink in. Create/memorize mnemonics provided and apply them when working MCQ and SIMS.

    Practice journal entries!!!!

Review Bonds, Leases, Pensions, Nonprofit and GOVT heavily.

Work at least 3 sims each day.

Read your notes until you pass out each night.

You need to remove all distractions and eat, breathe, sleep FAR for the next 7 days.

If you don't already have NINJA notes or Audio.. or both. It would be worth it to give you an overall, focused outline of concepts that you MUST master to pass FAR.

    Good Luck!

If nothing else, it's your first exam (and it's just a test, you can always retake it, and the clock hasn't started ticking, so don't even fret). After you take the test and get your score, you will have a good idea of what is required to pass. And you will probably adjust your study methods if needed. At least, that's what I did 🙂
