I am contemplating taking an exam review course and I have heard good things about Rogers CPA Exam Review – is it worth spending all that money for this program?

I think you can't go wrong with either CPAexcel or Rogers. Rogers is the best program for auditory learners out there(aka best lectures).

I spoke to an ancient wise man who sent me on a mushroom induced journey through an ancient forest to find the key to passing the CPA exam. A talking spider monkey told me to throw the last of my drinking water in the dirt to find what I was looking for. So I followed his instructions and the following message appeared in the soil:

"Do 5000 multiple choice questions for each section"

Roger is pretty hyper, errr, dynamic, which isn't for everyone. I think it's great, but I remember reading one comment that said they wouldn't be able to handle him for more than 5 minutes. So definitely check out the demos to see where you fall on the spectrum.

I love roger as I need the energy and his super enthusiasm to get through the material and to look forward to after a long day at work. I have friends that used him and they all passed their exams.

I am using Roger right now with WTB. Personally I really like Roger but beware, he's not joking when he says he cuts the fat. His study material definitely plays odds of what's believed to be on the test. Overall though I love his jokes and think it is well worth it. Though for BEC I had to supplement cost accounting with my college textbook…then again I still dont get it.

I had Roger for FAR and my study plan didn't work out accordingly. For me, I don't watch CPA lecture videos anymore, I feel they are a waste of time and I don't retain any of the information. This is just my opinion though.

However, if you like videos, Roger can be quite funny sometimes taking away the boring side of certain topics. Although, he has some mannerisms that annoy me. For example, before every sentence he makes a smacking sound like when your tongue slides off the roof of your mouth. I have bad OCD and probably have this thing called Misophonia where certain sounds or motions drive me bananas (it's mental I know).

But Jeff on the other hand is really good in all his audio and easy to understand. It's so cut and dried. Plus the flashcards are awesome on my iPad mini before bed.
