I got the Wiley CD with my Yaeger course last April. It has worked fine until the last couple of weeks. I can uninstall and reinstall it and it works but every time I shut down my computer, I get this error

Failed to update database “C:PROGRAM FILES (X86)WILEY CPA EXAM REVIEWDESKTOP 2011WWWAPP_DATAWILEYCPA2011.MDF” because the database is read-only.

Is my cd toast? Should I just replace it with something else or do you think it can be saved? Has anyone else had a similar experience?

My next test is on 2/17 and I really am getting nervous about this.

This is not a problem with your CD, this is something on your hard drive.

Go to the file,

C:PROGRAM FILES (X86)WILEY CPA EXAM REVIEWDESKTOP 2011WWWAPP_DATAWILEYCPA2011.MDF

right click on it and select properties.

at the bottom it says attributes. If read-only is checked, then uncheck it.

Then restart your computer.
