    I failed FAR with a 74. My NTS for AUD and BEC expires end of May so I have to take those two. I could squeeze FAR and give it about 10-12 days in between my AUD and BEC exam. Would that be enough?

    I used Becker notes + NINJA MCQ’s for my previous attempt.

    Anyone else who has been through a similar experience and could share what they did would be greatly appreciated!

    Why are you in such a hurry? I have the last one in 2 days and I've taken about 9 months overall.
    The exams are expensive – you've already failed twice and it's pointless to risk failing the other ones for a last ditch effort at FAR.
    You have Auditing in just over a month. Concentrate on that one and schedule FAR for late August.

    BEC: 84
    REG: 85
    FAR: 87
    AUD: 2/29/2016

    I can see both points of view here. Being that you are so close to passing FAR and it being the beast, I can understand you wanting to try it again pretty soon. However, as the poster above said, these exams are expensive, and you may be trying to do too much too soon.

    I'd say if you really want to try to tackle FAR, AUD, and BEC in the next testing window, start out with FAR and study for the entire month of March for your retake and take FAR at the beginning of April. Keep in mind you need 75 more points, not 1 more point. With FAR being the largest section, there's so much they can test you on, and your next exam can be totally different. I'd go back through all of your study materials again; hammer out MCQ's and SIMS. Don't half-study; really study hard for that retake so you won't fail again.

    You can then reschedule AUD for the end of April and leave BEC for the end of May. AUD and BEC are much shorter sections than FAR, and both can be done in less time since there is less information (but AUD can be tricky for some people).

    I don't know your working situation and other factors in your personal life, but I think that is your best bet for tackling all three of these exams in the next window, if you desire. But it's going to be hard. If you have too much going on in your personal life (work, family, friends, etc.), then you may just want to stick with AUD and BEC and take FAR later.

    AUD - 85 (8/30/2015)
    FAR - 73 (10/13/2015), 85 (2/29/2016) (AND DONE!)
    BEC - 83 (11/04/2015)
    REG - 81 (11/30/2015)

    It is possible but I don't think its likely. Study like you've never taken it before. When you see people who score a 74 then a 65 the next time its because they seriously underestimated the retake.

    mla11692 is right, I thought I did not have to study a lot for my BEC retake since I got a 74, and scored stronger (progress report) on the MC part of the exam. I took it again a few weeks after, and I only got a 75.

    FAR= 72-84
    Audit= 73-82
    BEC= 74-75
    Reg=77

    That's a tough decision. I've heard you study for retakes like you've never learned it before, but one disadvantage to waiting until August is you are going to forget so much more of what you have learned. Can you honestly look back and figure out what one or 2 sections gave you the most problems for FAR? I know I'm battling that right now – everytime I see statement of cash flows or stock holder's equity, I'm thinking to myself “Please don't let them test me about this on Monday..”. If it's only 1 or 2 trouble sections, and you feel strong on most of the other, I'd retake it in April. If you can't pin it down though, I'd push it out to August. A break on FAR may be a good thing for you, and if you plow through AUD and BEC, that will provide extra motivation to kill FAR the next time you take it.

    BEC - 88 8/29/15
    REG - 82 11/14/15
    AUD - 83 1/8/16
    FAR - 80 2/29/16

    Thank you everyone! I agree that 2 weeks isn't a good enough time and I'm still 75 points away. I hope I can make it alive with FAR, AUD & BEC by the end of May.

    Good luck @jcbcpa for tomorrow!! Let me know how it goes on your retake!

    @jdn9201 I hope your exam went well!

    I studied it in 12 days and it was hell. My NTS was expiring. I got a 70, probably would have passed if I had 3 or 4 more days. I did one Becker chapter a day, lecture and MCQ.

    Hello MaLoTu! Thank you for replying to my post.

    I've read a lot of your posts on the FAR study group for Q1. I am so sorry to hear that. Was that your retake? What are you planning on doing moving forward?
