Studying this stuff tonight is a very one sided beating.Like Adam Sandler damaging my modula oblongata one-sided. I don’t think I am going to get back off the canvas tonight after my second knockdown, looking at A71 instead of finishing my questions. Anyway….I digress. Does anyone out there have some type of framework or mnemonic or something they use to better conceptualize this topic? I

I had to LOL at this title. Then I LOL'd some more after reading the body of the post.

Are you able to get your arms around at least some of it, or does the whole thing mystify you?

You got the def tax asset/liab concept down?

Book income, adjustments (some temp, some perm) taxable income. temporary differences reverse causing the eventual catchup of book to tax. the difference between the two (and the eventual consumption) creates deferred taxes.

    AUD - 75*, 88 done 5/14! (*exp)
    BEC - 74 , 77
    REG - 65 , 76 (10 point combooo!!)
    FAR - 69 , 75

    Wanna_B_TXCPA2014,

I had to go back to the Income Tax chapter in the Intermediate Accounting book to help me understand the material. Although some people don't recommend doing this but in my opinion, for brain killers like Deferred Taxes, it's not really a bad idea. Just don't do it for every modules though.

    FAR: 80 02/01/2014
    AUD: 53,80 12/09/2014
    BEC: TBD
    REG: TBD
