I just took the second mock exam in Becker and my score has me extremely nervous. I’ve been taking Progress Tests of 33 MCQs from all the chapters combined, and my scores are drastically different between those and the mock exams. First mock exam I got a 74, thought that was ok and I’d improve. Well second one i took today and got a 66. These are the scores I’ve been getting:

Progress Tests (33 MCQs, all chapters): 86, 73, 93, 80, 86, 79, 88, 91, 95

Mock Exam 1 (74 Total): T1-64, T2-73, Sims 79

Mock Exam 2 (66 Total): T1-67, T2-79, Sims 63

So I took the Mock Exam 1, got a 74. Did all of those progress tests after that and got scores I was really happy with. Took Mock Exam 2 today and got a 66. I’m more worried about the MCQs, as those are supposed to pull my grade up a lot even if i don’t do so hot on the sims. What on earth can i be doing wrong? The Mock exam MCQs were sooo much longer and on topics i really haven’t seen much of in the progress tests. Also to note, the questions i’m getting wrong aren’t just concentrated to one or two sections. I take the exam in 5 days and feel more down than ever.

the mock exam results are somewhat misleading. I would not use it to gauge the likelihood of pass. Rather, I would use the mock to see which area I missed the most and review these areas/topics…

you will not get long questions like the mcq/mock in the real one.

My native language is not english. When I did practice mcq, I was so swamped by the too long questions, too much info, but in the real exam, the questions are probably 1-2 lines long for most of them, and they are straightforward….

and yeah, you probably will see questions that you have not seen much in your review. Make your best guess and move on.

I think the mock exams are a waste of time. Just keep hammering the MCQs and don't pay attention to your mock exam scores. Keep working on your weaker areas while you hammer MCQs. The scores in the mock exams aren't accurate anyway.

I agree with the others. mock exams are mostly a waste of time. They're good to help you get used to the grind of a 4 hr exam and practice timing so you wont run out of time on the real exam, but otherwise I'd suggest just keep practicing MC and TBS questions.

Don't let those mock exams influence how you feel you are doing overall. They give you one or two questions from every single section, and that's not reflective of how a true exam will be since certain sections will be tested far more heavily than others. If anything, you might use the score analysis to see which major areas could use some focus. But even for that, I think you'll get a much better idea by using the analysis tools in Ninja or whatever test bank you are using.

The mock exams are not indicative of how well you will do on the exam. I've only gotten my score back for BEC, but I failed every Becker mock exam on my first attempt. In my opinion, people get too caught up in trying to simulate the exam. I would do the mock exams and just do the simulations or MCQS the most important thing is getting exposure to as many types of questions as possible.
