I swear this unit is my least favorite in FAR. It’s so overwhelming. I have way too much notes I feel for this unit. I don’t even know how to study this. How important is this unit for the exam you feel?

I think it's important. What if you get a sim on EPS? It's not unlikely.

I took far 4 times and I had a sim on eps and deps on each exam.

I'd say important, but I would not say its an overwhelming amount of info, I'd bet you're reading too FAR (lmao) into it. Just focus on what what goes into the numerator and denominator for each. I believe you only need to know two formulas.

The thing with FAR that is so hard is that there is 5 million different topics and you just never know what is going to be on the exam.

My approach for subjects that I was doing really poorly in was to almost just accept that i was not going to do well there, i felt my time was better spent focusing and subjects that i could nail down better but had an OK understanding of. I may have just got lucky that my test didn't hit me hard with any of these areas that i wrote off, but it worked for me. I should also say I only had 43 days to study for FAR so I was against the clock and had to do things like that.

FWIW I had EPS questions.

Okay so I am not surprised to know there will be questions on EPS/DEPS, but I think I am just overwhelmed with my notes not so much the workout of the problems. I need to focus on trimming my notes down. Thanks for the help.

FAR Is the most improtant section..learn FAR and know it well and it will help you with all the other sections.

EPS isnt the most important topic..youll likely never need it in real life..but for the exam its useful and not that hard to grasp compared to other things like 1065 accounting, consolidations and fxc adjustments.
