I received my final passing score back in mid December and completed the Ethics exam on December 24th. Does anybody know what kind of timeframe I’m looking at for for receiving my certification letter? What about for receiving my physical license after notice of certification is sent to the IL Dept. of Finance?

The website says they get approved on the 1st and 15th. I'd estimate the 15th of Jan for you, then it takes 2 weeks to go to Dept of Finance or the print shop (somethign like that), then aprox 2 weeks after that (sometime) you should have the certificate in the mail.

HOWEVER, I still have not received my paper score from the grade I recieved in December. I emailed ILBOE this week and they said they have not received the paper scores from AICPA yet. So I have a feeling you won't get approved until they receive those. I wonder why it is taking sooooooooooo long. USually, we have the paper score within a week or two after score release. For my sake, I'm hoping the scores were posted wrong, and I really passed AUD and they are determining what they have to do to “fix” the problem.. haha.. I dream big, eh?

Plus you can always call and ask. They are pretty helpful.

I would contact the Illinois Board just to make sure they received your ethics score.

I say this because I passed my last exam on 10/26, took the ethics exam and passed on 11/13, and received my last exam score sometime before Thanksgiving. I selected to have the ethics score send to the Illinois Board of Examiners. I hadn't heard anything and this is going on two months now. So just this Friday, two days ago, I contacted the IL Board and they said they did not receive my ethics score from the AICPA. I contacted the AICPA and they said they send it and that it's common for the IL Board to lose them, and they sent it again. They said they should have it immediately. I contacted the IL Board and they said they had it now and that I should receive my certificate number in the mail in 7-10 days and the paper certificate 3-4 weeks later, since they have them specially made or whatever.

The moral of the story is to follow up!

I still have yet to receive my final paper score in the mail, so I'm willing to bet that I've got quite a bit of waiting to do. I will contact the Board tomorrow to see where I stand and to check if they received my Ethics score yet, which I elected to have sent to them when I took the exam.

Just more waiting I suppose. I should be used to it by now…
