Any one here uses IFRS at work? If so what type of company you work for? I wanted to know if there are any employers who require IFRS knowledge in US.

I work in a small firm and we barely have anything to do with IFRS, but I am sure people deal with it all the time in larger firms. I'm almost positive that I read about positions dealing with international transactions that require such knowledge.

I work in private industry for a company that is owned by a foreign party. It is a very big company (larger than half of the Fortune 500 companies) and uses IFRS. I think it's a real asset to work in external reporting for an international company since it isn't common.

I work for a large real estate company and we use IFRS for external reporting. All of our private statements as we call them, or statements for banks ect are US GAAP. When I was in public I had a few real estate clients who needed some statements in IFRS for foreign investors.

This is my 2nd attempt at the exam, I had two parts passed (failed many) and I stupidly quit, big mistake. Now I'm back and with a vengeance!

I work for a private, multinational company and IFRS is applicable to us because of our UK operations; they issue public debt and must report under IFRS. Our US consolidation (and reporting is under US GAAP).
