I’m having a bachelor degree in Accounting from overseas, it has been over 8 years.

I moved to the U.S. I had a hard time to to find a career in my field. Unfortunately, I have no experience in Accounting, and have a bad GPA. However, I do have a chance to apply for CPA , Masters , of second bachelor in Finance.

Master needs GPA and GMAT long time.

CPA needs time to prepare for exam

Finance degree only 65 credits to obtain a second bachelor

    ,

DO you have any suggestions or which one should I go for?

    Thanks for your head advice

Tango, are you trolling, man? 😀

As someone foreign myself, I'd suggest to improve your English first.

No idea what your previous career was, but if you consider going back to accounting, the CPA is the best route.

You'll need to seriously brush up your language skills because you won't be able to pass the written portion of BEC and the very wordy and confusing AUD.

Well, I believe that before to be a CPA, you need to learn how to be respond polity.

I'm not asking you to give me an English grammar lessons.

What I'm asking is what is the best option?

Tagno, are you from India? It sounds like you might be, but I'm sorry if I'm wrong. Just looking out for my fellow Indians:)

Regarding this post, I think CPA might be the best route. I don't think adding another degree such as Finance will mean much (in my opinion), though you could get a job as a Finance Analyst and could end up making around $55,000/year (speaking from my friend's experience).

However, CPA will def. be worthwhile in long term and it will open up more doors. While you are studying for the CPA exams, you could try to gain experience by doing accounting internships and such.

I have no experience with Masters program, and how that could lead to more jobs, etc…so can't speak on that.

Good Luck with whatever you decide:)

You wanted an advice and you got one.

You may think it's rude, but I'm just being realistic.

    CPA628, you're awesome.

    Thank you.

The problem is that I moved to the U.S. and I worked in different jobs. Unfortunately, none of them was in Accounting.

After researching, I found that I have three options mentioned above, but I'm confused by which route should I go for.

The only reason that I'm planning to get a BS in Finance because I believe that I will have an opportunity to do internship during the school time.

In brief, I want to get the fastest route that can be placed in a short time.

    any way thank you CPA628.

I dont think that a Masters in Accounting is a good route man ! despite the fact that i just got one ! unless u want more credits to be a cpa at a state other than newhampshire …

Save your money, become a CPA … but a masters would look good one the resume i guess … if its a reputable university .. and u will have a chance to get an internship using the career fairs in the uni i guess …

    two to go !
