I have a bachelor degree in accounting from foreign country. The bottom line is it had been 10 years since my graduation, and I didn’t work in accounting area since then.

I was thinking to get a second bachelor or getting a master

Second bachelor will take me only two years to complete.

Do you think guys I can be prepared for master even though it has been a long time, or preparing by taking second bachelor which will take me only 2 years? If so, you think bachelor will give me the expected good background that I need for employment.

Thank you for your help in advance

I would recommend getting a masters instead of a second bachelors. It will take about the same amount of time and will be much more valuable.

Even if it takes longer than the second bachelors, I still recommend the masters.

I'm really fascinating about this forum, and how quick your responds guys.

I appreciate your advices, so from now I have to deal with GMAT test.

My worry for master was that it required GMAT test, my GPA, and my background of accounting not good since it has been a long time after graduation.

Anyway, I appreciate your help again

If your undergrad GPA quite low, you can take some prerequisites classes from community college( Business laws,MicroEcon,MacroEcon..statistics). It will help your last 60 units GPA higher so you will require lower GMAT score.

If you plan to take the CPA exam, some grad schools will waive the GMAT requirement for CPA's. So, if you want to take the CPA exam before grad school, you may be able to avoid the GMAT altogether.

Of course, that will limit your options on where you go to school, since not all schools offer to waive the GMAT, but if you find a school out of your area that does it, they may offer an online program where you can get your master's online.

    Just a thought.
