So, I am waiting on my FAR score and I STRONGLY believe that I failed the exam!! When I walked out of the testing center I felt completely defeated and beat up!! However, after reading many people’s experience it sounded very similar to mine…and some of those individuals passed. I do not want to get my hopes up, because I still remember how awful I felt leaving the testing center.

So here is my question…and I need brual honesty. (I always see people post who say they were just sure they failed, and they passed the other 3 sections of the exam 1st try in the 90’s, lol). So, I am looking to hear from someone who really, honestly, and truely believed that they failed a section of the exam…and then on score release date checked it and they actually passed…does that really happen?

If you feel that your SIM part is a mess, you probably didn't pass.

FAR was my first test and I left the testing center almost in tears. I was sure I failed, and I ended up getting an 80. I left REG elated, feeling sure that I did great and I only scored 2 points higher than I did with FAR. With AUD a couple weeks ago I left having no clue how I did (I was also sick and not really at 100% so hopefully that doesn't affect my score). My emotions after FAR and REG were so polar opposite, and yet, my scores were so close. I think it would be funny (provided I actually/hopefully pass) if I get an 81 since my reaction was right in between the reactions from the first two exams.

    FAR - 80
    REG - 82
    AUD - 92
    BEC - 81
    Ethics - 100

If you felt good on the SIMS, there is a good chance you passed. If you didn't finish the SIMS or felt clueless while completing them, you probably failed.

    REG - PASS
    BEC - PASS
    AUD - PASS
    FAR - PASS
    CA ETHICS - PASS

For reg I walked feeling like I aced it and only got an 80.

For BEC I felt like I had a shot and got a 70

For Aud, totally unsure. I did great on 3 sims, ok on 2 and

Unsure on the other 2. The mcqs didn't seem to get harder

At all, so I am predicting a fail in the mid 60's. Hope I'm wrong.

    Reg 11/15/2011 - 80
    Aud 02/28/2012 - 81
    Bec 05/31/2012 - 78
Far 08/31/2012 - 83 Do you believe in Miracles, YES !!!

@ohio… Can't tell you how much I'm in the same boat as you. I felt AWFUL walking out of the exam but this site has calmed me down. I busted my a** off for FAR and now it's time to cross my fingers and hope for the best. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you as well. Sounds like anything is possible based on what other people are saying. Couple days until score release, let's see what happens.

Even if I fail though, I'm going to kill it the next time around. Stay positive.

    FAR - 2012 - PASSED (YAEGER)
    AUD - 2012 - PASSED (YAEGER + NINJA NOTES)
    BEC - 2012 - PASSED (YAEGER + NINJA NOTES)
    REG - 2013 - PASSED (YAEGER + NINJA NOTES + NINJA AUDIO)

    ETHICS - 2013 - PASSED

DONE!!! Thank you A71 for all the support! Hiya!!!

    @Ohio

I have to say that I never felt positive that I passed any of the exams. Well, I take that back, the first time I took Audit, I felt pretty good about it, I thought I had passed, I got a 68. Audit is a misleading exam–at least to me it is–hardly any calculations, but the questions are tricky, making each word count, so it makes it hard to ascertain how you did. But for FAR, I thought I was borderline when I passed.

The big difference for me, is that I didn't know if I passed or not, but I had exams where I knew I felt good about the mcq's, so that gave me hope. I feel like the new format make the sims the x factor, which for me, always had me questioning if I passed.

All in all, all of this is subjective to the person. Everybody has a different scale in their head. So, study hard, slay a few goats, wear some red panties (or briefs) and good luck to you!!!!

If you felt like the sections got increasingly more difficult, you probably did okay.

    Couldn't pass again!

I don't think you can really judge how you did based on whether or not your testlets got harder. I don't think mine got harder for FAR (nor for AUD but still waiting on that score). It could be because they actually didn't get harder or because I was prepared so they didn't seem that hard to me. I did not see wordier or longer questions or more calculations on the 2nd or 3rd ones. All 3 testlets had a mix of easy, medium, difficult and completely foreign questions.

When you get a hard testlet all that means is that you will see an increase in difficult questions. However, you could still get softball questions on a hard testlet and conversely difficult question on a medium testlet. Just the ratio of them changes. I think that's what throws people off on why they think their testlet never changes yet they still score > 80.

I studied FAR for 9 weeks…hard. However, I never prepared myself on speed, and the mental fog that overcomes you when you are actually sitting for the exam with no breaks! I ended up leaving 3 or 4 sims blank…I don't even remember! I do remember the screen turning black, shutting down, and having to walk out of there with my tail tucked between my legs. The most horrible feeling ever. I figured there was absolutely no way I passed, like it was mathematically impossible since I left all those sims BLANK. I cried, I pouted, and was hoping for a 65-69 which would have meant I did well on what I did actually complete (but failed b/c I didn't finish sims).

In conclusion…I passed with a 78. I still can't believe it…shocked would be an understatement.

You never know. I'm waiting on my audit score and I feel really confident I should pass…so now I know there's a chance for failure just b/c I think I passed! Pretty messed up, isn't it?

Best of luck to you!! Waiting is the hardest part…
