    I got 67 in 2013 Q1, then 69 on 2013 Q2. First time I did not do so well on the MC and this time I did not well on simulation. So should re-take 3rd time. I feel confident on MC on second time. I am just mad that I did not do so well on the simulation. I did not study simulation (may be under 30 min.) for both times. I know I am stupid for not studying on simulation on second time because I underestimate the importance of stimulation since I did ok (“comparative” on exam result notice) on stimulation first time.

    Don't cut corners. Study until you understand the material intuitively.

    Simply put: put in the time and don't skip material.

    FAR (5/07/13): 96

    I did study everything pretty thoroughly about 95%. i think i am hard worker. I just did not practice on simulation. i thought if i know how to do i.e. journal entry on writing, then i should have no problem type them on computer screen.

    my point is that should i retake the exam?

    you can't skip simulations during your study. I skip SIMs for my first round review of book, trying to remember all materials, and only did MCQ. But I will definitely do all the SIMs on my second round of review (which means when you understand better of the chapters than your first round review) I normally began doing SIMs 2 weeks prior to the actual exam.

    The only time I didn't practice SIMs is BEC. I only type in the writing structure, then I skip writing the whole thing.

    But again, for FAR, don't skip simulation, they are heavily weighted on your score (40%).

    AUD - 76 (May 2012)
    BEC - 81 (July 2012)
    REG - 61 (Aug 2012), rematch 83 (October 2012)
    FAR - 85 (May 2013)

    I concur with you guys not to skip materials. I finished FAR prep class in 10 weeks without skipping a single page from 11/1/12-1/6/13. The remaining 12 days I had before the actual test were very short to remember all those 10 heavy chapters at once. I forgot most of them. I neither had a chance to work on progress tests for each chapter nor had a final review of my notes & flashcards.I failed to tackle enough MCQs, more so did I not open up the practice final tests provided by Becker. So scoring only 62 in my first attempt was a no surprise to me.

    My plan for this 1st retake of FAR next testing window is to again read each chapter page per page. I know this is going to be slow. But I can learn more effectively by reading the lectures than just by listening to the video. I wonder how other people can just jump right in and work on the MCQs without knowing the basics. I don't think I have that gift. I am the type who is satisfied to read the news in details than just hearing the headlines.

    Since this is my second attempt, I aim to finish 2 chapters in a week. I need to speed up and be really disciplined to do these:

    2 Chapters a Week – Lessons/Notes; MCQs, Progress Tests/Practice Sessions/Take a Quiz 700-items; Read my own notes & flashcards+Listen to Ninja Audio>in-between [All in 5 Weeks]

    6th Week> Practice Final Test 2 from Becker & 2 from WTB; MCQs/Practice Tests>700 items;

    7th Week> more MCQs/Practice Tests till I puke
