I just took FAR at the beginning of the testing window and according to the NASBA schedule, my score won’t release till May 5? I really have to wait 34 days for my exam score? That’s brutal….

Sometimes they release it early, like 2 days earlier but it depends on how many exams they had to grade for that window.

Indeed it is… sometimes it just makes no sense haha. It's because of that reason I specifically started scheduling my tests at the end of a window. A minimal waiting period is a lot less stressful.

Yep. The wait is stupid. It's why I'm taking REG close to the end of the score release window (April 16).

I suggest moving into your next section now. Wasting a month while waiting on a score is a bad idea. You can't do anything about FAR now so just move on. If you pass, you'll thank yourself for doing so. If you fail, well you haven't lost anything by starting a new topic. Just circle back to FAR next.

The wait is getting better, just not quite real time yet. Used to be one score release per year (can you even imagine?), when I took the exams it could be a 10 week wait (tested Jan 5 got scores March 21) and now it's anywhere from 2 weeks-1 month.

I've never understood how on one hand the CPA Industrial Complex touts technology and the need to be dialed in for changes in the workplace, yet most of the correspondence, applications, and grading are done through snail mail. There should be more traceability (accountability, hello?) in the process. The whole thing is deeply flawed.

Yeah I did the same thing for my first exam- I didn't get my score for a month about a couple of days before my second exam. After that I aimed for the end of a scoring period or testing window. Sometimes it isn't possible, but that wait is terrible. I hope you did well!

Yeah best advice is to try and test when you're ready AND at the end of a window. I took REG on Friday. It's going to be a long wait, luckily my wife has a list of chores that should keep me busy until May 🙂
