I feel so rushed answering MCQ with the timer! I get anxiety and can’t even focus on the question.

Maybe I just need more practice with it.

Any advice on how to forget about the timer, so I can fully concentrate on the material while answering the questions, yet still remain conscious of not going too slow?

    Sounds like a catch 22 !

I used to be obsessed with the timer as well, I had to mentally learn to just not think about it. I figured when I am in study mode that it is important to really try to solve these questions on my own, read all the answers whether I got them wrong or right and take notes. That all takes time. So I just remind myself I am not taking a test at the moment so I have all the time in the world and that really has helped me some.

I pause the timer as soon as I start a question when doing homework. I can't stand it either. Although I do let it run when I do progress tests.

    Thanks Becker!

I do exactly as Texas27, I pause the timer right when i start the question. Otherwise it just stays in your mind that the time is ticking and it gets annoying. But when I take the exam at the center it does not bother me at all.
