Not recently…..I just have to share this quick story. I found all my old scores from early ’07 when cleaing out my files a couple of weeks ago….kind of forgot all about my CPA exam experience in ’06/’07…..

I just finished up my MSA in August ’06 and got my NTS (6 Months) for all four parts in November (quite dumb to do this at the time ignoring busy season). I rescheduled multiple times and this is what happened:

4/3/07 Audit – 64 (Just read book the day of the exam, tried to wing it and cram, took exam at night)

    5/4/07 BEC – 68 (Same as above)

5/31/07 FAR – 27 (Just went in, didn’t even open book, didn’t think for more than a few second on most Qs & on the sims, I just read them but didn’t answer them and walked out)

Did not even schedule REG, let my NTS expire…..

I knew other people along the way in which they did pretty much the same thing on a CPA exam section, thus don’t be scared about the 50% fail rate as there are people like me who went into the exam like that.

Finally ran out of excuses to take the CPA exam and take it seriously. Good thing was I had multiple years of public accounting experience under me and over 4 weeks of accrued vacation to take time off and study. I wonder if I have one of the biggest turnaround in FAR (not counting 0s/no shows, then passing)…..

    8/20 AUD: 90
    8/31 BEC: 82
    10/6 REG: 83
    10/25 FAR: 93
