So I am doing a compilation, I dont understand but I have been stuck on it the last couple days. No matter what I do I can’t seem to get it to balance. It’s a trust compilation. I am already over the budget and I dont know what else to do. It’s really stressful and makes me feel that even though I love my job, I feel like I I am not fully prepared for this. This is my first year in public accounting with no relevant experience prior.

Is there any one else who feels this way at their work?

What do you do in these situations?

@hmesalguero Is it a situation where you can't ask for help? Or can you look at previous examples of how the auditor compiled it a year before?

Also, what did you do different to pass AUD the second time? I am taking AUD in February 2013. I am also waiting on my REG score. I am nervous about the score. How do you think you did on REG?

@hmesalguero, I agree with @beechcrest…can you not reach out to a peer with more experience or a superior? Do you have a friend that you could reach out to? What's your specific problem? I might be able to help.

I have asked questions but I guess I just dont understand it well. 🙁 Maybe I'll go three years back to see what else I can do.

One thing about Audit is that it gets confusing if you dont look at the big picture–what i mean to say is that, i didnt have enough time to go over the summary of what I studied. Chunks by chunks of material per week is easy– but it's putting them together where it gets confusing coz getting it confused with compilation, review and audit. A word can make a huge difference.

I feel horrible about Reg. I dont know how i did at all.
