Hello, I wish I had seen this site before. I am wondering if anyone has had a similar experience and found any remedy or recourse.
I just saw my 71 for AUD on 11/2 online and I am pissed. I already passed BEC and REG earlier this summer and was all set to smash this one too when all my best plans were ruined by the storm, not to mention significant property damage on my house.
Don’t get me wrong. My 71 is my fault, but it seems ridiculous to me that Prometric cancels the test and then doesn’t reinstate the testing ID automatically. I went on hold for over an hour on each of Monday and Tuesday and finally on the Wednesday I get someone to do the simple thing of reinstating so I could reschedule. Why this isn’t an automatic thing defies all logic.
I had originally scheduled it for 10/29 and was then able to get it rescheduled for 11/2/12. I had to do this as soon as I could so that I could have enough time to study for FAR on 11/30/12. Looking back now, I should have foresaken FAR and spent time reviewing more before AUD, when instead I was waiting in line for gasoline to power my generator as we didn’t have power for a week. Lesson learned is don’t test when stressors are at an unusal level.
I am actually blessed and thankful that my family was unharmed from the storm, but there has to be a better way and the girl I spoke to at Prometric could really care less about my situation. I am going to write a letter to Investor relations at parent company Thomson Reuters, but was wondering if anyone had other suggestions.
I am sure I am not the only one who was impacted. Hopefully we can fix this problem so no one else has to go through the crap I did.
