How you keep your self motivated to study ?

To be honest with you, I feel like the CPA exam is an emotional roller coaster. Some days you are so motivated and some days you're just not. They're times when you just want to call it quits and throw in the towel however that would be the weak thing to do. To stay motivated you just keep telling your self you will pass and become a CPA. Surround your self with positive people who will tell you good things to help boost your confidence. A good example of that is the people on this website. Remember this exam is a SHORT term sacrifice for a LONG term gain. Also remember the material is so wide but the exam is an inch deep.

And when iam not motivated I keep reading here,motivate myself then go back to study

I have a score report for the parts I passed hanging up. Right now I'm half done (and waiting on a score) so it helps me see how much closer I am to being done than when I started in July.

I also make printed lists of all the materials in CPAExcel as well as a calender with each day's scheduled section. I love crossing things out on lists, so when I have each day's study assignment written down, I get to cross it out when I complete the day's work. I feel like crap when I look at my calendar and can't cross something out if I missed a day.

And like the others have said, I come here. We're all working towards the same goal and I love that everyone helps push each other along.

You don't have to be motivated. You have to be committed even when it's the very last thing you want to do.
