I have made up my mind I’m going for the CPA. I just graduated with a BA in Accounting from Binghamton. I want to start studying. Could you please provide some pointers for a good launching point.

Prepare…..pick up a review course, do the research as to which review course works for you. Study….Put the hours for each of the 4 sections. Plan. Make sure you sit for atleast 2 exam in each window.

So – Prepare, Study,Plan and you will be launched..

If you have any specific questions, bring it on. At the moment i can't comment much.

I find “eenie meanie miney mo” is a good way to pick which exam you want to study for first

    REG - 5/21/2012 - 85
    FAR - 7/24/2012 - 86
    BEC - 8/27/2012 - 85
    AUD - 10/5/2012 - 72....rematch 1/3/13 (waiting)

But besides that I would probably choose the exam you believe will be most difficult for you first. You won't be as exhausted by the process yet, and it will be a huge confidence boost/relief if you pass it right away.

    REG - 5/21/2012 - 85
    FAR - 7/24/2012 - 86
    BEC - 8/27/2012 - 85
    AUD - 10/5/2012 - 72....rematch 1/3/13 (waiting)

IMHO, apply first and make sure you meet the qualifications to sit for the exam before studying. I'd be worried about investing time in it if you've got a ways to go to meet all of the requirements, since 6-8 weeks per section is sufficient studying,

    FAR- 77
    AUD -49, 71, 84
    REG -56,75!
    BEC -75
