Guys, I am using Roger CPA review and it worked perfectly with me to pass FAR from first attempt. However, I have some tough time to digest audit. Am done with all Wiley test bank MCQs with an average score of 70 🙁 I know this is disappointing!

No i just startef practicing Sims which is my major weakness in audit. With MCQs some how I could manage but Sims seem to be really challenging specially when it’s related to sampling and those nonsense tick marks which am not able to understand at all.

Many ppl recommended me using authoritative literature. However, In most of the cases i am not able to find the correct answer using the authoritative literature. Maybe I am not good enough in making best use of it!

Can some one tell me if it’s possible to pass the audito exam without using the authoritative literature in Sims for other than the research question ? And do you think 70 is really bad score in Wiley as compared to actual exam questions? Any guidance will really be helpful. My exam is on end of the month.

I generally scored 70 – 75% in Wiley test bank and I passed. I scored 77% on the Wiley final exam.

I did watch the statistical sampling lecture again (I also used Roger) and worked those MCQ until I knew the material inside and out.

Regarding the tick marks… slow down and look at the schedule. Remember, tick marks are just the symbols used to document the work performed. Before you even look at the answer options, determine makes sense to do. Also, I would spend some time reviewing the answers to the tick mark sim located in the Wiley book.

The authoritative literature really helped me on the audit exam. I definitely believe it is possible to pass without using it for questions other than research… but, I think it's a very helpful tool.

REG - passed (expires 5/13)
AUD - passed
FAR - passed
BEC - passed 4/17

@megtothemax, thnx a lot for you reply. After reading it I feel much better 🙂 I will definitely keep on practicing more MCQs as I've just purchased Gliem software which I think gonna add some more knowledge and I will keep trying to make best use of authoritative literature to have a good hand on it before the exam day.

hi, i didn't use roger. I used becker+wiley. Becker helps me in MCQ ,and memorization.They have nice example on the report and also help you to memorize them very easily.i practiced the MCQs THREE times before i went to the exam. I used wiley testbank to pracitce the SIM. They have 80% in setting and also the research function. I have gleim, but i didn't use them at all in AUD. But diff person have diff way of studying toward AUD. But my method helped me to boost up my score from 58 to 76. Help that will help you also.

plus i didn't use the authoritative literature at all. all the report i knew are from Becker/wiley textbook~

@Carrot82, thnx a bundle for your valuable advices. In fact I started using Gliem and it looks these are a bit more challenging. On the last 2 days I will get back to Wiley to practice Sims. Hope this will take me to 75 🙂
