How should I setup my studying?

Hey Everyone I am a new poster here and just wanted some advice as to how I should structure my Becker studying.

I plan on taking FAR right at the end of October (sent my application, so I’m awaiting my NTS which I heard takes 8-10 weeks), so I’ve given myself the 10 full weeks to prepare. This is my first exam.

I input my study schedule into becker and it gives me 1 chapter a week, with the exception of 2 weeks which has 2 chapters, and 2 full weeks before the exam for reviewing.

So far I’ve studied pretty much all day yesterday and today (nothing to do until grad school in September) and watched the lectures, did all the MC questions and completed the simulations. Now I have the entire rest of this week dedicated to F1 but I feel like that is a lot of time?

1.Should I just study everyday for F1 or should I move onto F2?

2.How do you all study for the “Review” section, I did not purchase flashcards.

If i speed up my studying I don’t want to finish studying/reviewing but cannot take the exam till late october due to my NTS. Thank you all so much and good luck with your exams!

Study at your own pace. If you are done with F1 and feel confident you understand all the concepts, move on to F2. I tried to follow Becker's study example but ended up doing this:

    1) Watch Lecture

    2) Do MC questions

    3) Reread parts of lecture for MC questions I didn't understand completely

    4) Repeat Step 1-3 in each chapter

    5) Complete 3-5 100 simulated exams

    6) Take Final Exams

    7) Take Exam

A general piece of advice is to focus less on the practice simulations and more on the multiple choice questions. The simulations are alright to reinforce the concept, but it is highly unlikely you will see similar ones on the real exam. They seem to come from left field, where as a large chunk of the the multiple choice questions will be quite similar to Becker.

    FAR(11/14/11)- 92
    AUD(01/04/12)- 91
    REG(05/30/12)- 93
    BEC(07/21/12)- 88

your NTS should be delivered to you in a matter of days, not weeks. Also keep in mind you can reschedule your exam outside of 30 days of sitting at no extra charge.
