How many weeks for FAR retake?

    Just received a 74 after taking the test on 10/9. I plan on retaking the test on January 4th. How many weeks leading up to then should I allocate for studying? I originally studied 10 weeks and I felt that was detrimental since I got bogged down and overwhelmed by forgetting alot of the earlier stuff, so I want to be more efficient this time by not dragging it out so far. Would 6-7 weeks be enough? Or should I shoot for longer?
