How many questions in a day

    Hi,

I’m studying for FAR and BEC while I’m also working full time. I have been able to crank out about 100 – 120 questions a day after superficially revising the topics. I’m sitting for the exam in the last week of this month.

Just wish to know if this speed is good enough, am I efficient enough ? How many questions from the Becker’s pass master does an aspiring CPA candidate cranks out at an average.

    Thanks!

    Ask Tryingtopass75.

Is that 50-60 questions for you and 50-60 questions for Tryingtopass75 or is that 100-120 for you and 100-120 for Tryingtopass75?

I think you should do as many questions as you think is possible without making your mind numb, but learn from each question you get incorrect.

    REG-80, 77, 77
    BEC-67, 68, 71, 67, 71, 74, 71, 74, 72, 77
FAR- 72, 65,67, 53, 75 (truth be known the 53 was with 4 hours of studying)
    AUD-58, 62, 72, 74, 74, 75
took 5 years but I'm DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why are people giving the OP a hard time?

To answer the question…. 30 questions a day should do, but most importantly….learn from your mistakes. Take your time and try to figure out why exactly one choice is correct and why the others are wrong. Don't just memorize why, but learn the concept.

@CPAMan, people are giving the OP a hard time because it was pointed out that the OP and @tryingtopass have the same IP address, (could be the same person), the OP also puts an “s” after most words,as though english is a second language, but @tryingtopass does not. (and oddly, in this post there is no extra “s”) And the two accounts were created one day after each other. Also, the OP posts that they got a 23 on AUD, then later starts a new thread that it was so easy and passed, then starts another thread about wanting to make $1,000,000 a year after passing the exam. Everything together i just so conflicting and does not make sense, and feels like this person may be some kind of fraud.

Alright Alright… Despite the OP's history, I do like this question. I just posted this exact same question in a thread last night but didn't get any feed back. I do about 200 MCQ's per day. I have a friend who passed all of his exams and he always tells me I need to relax with the amount of MCQ's I do because I can wear myself out. BUT I study this crap full time, so I feel 200 is sufficient, I almost feel if I really pushed myself I could do more. How many is “too” much?!

    AUD 81 (X4) Previous scores 59, 72, 72
    REG 80 (X3) Previous scores 59, 60
    FAR 75 (X2) Previous score 67
    BEC 79 (X2) Previous score 58

I would say do as many as you feel comfortable doing. Don't burn yourself out. If you have the energy do more, if not do less.

Started sitting in May 2002, on and off. But since 2008 I've been nonstop and my scores are....
    AUD - 39, 48, 56, 65, 68, 73, 76!!! (Finally passed in Oct 2011!!!) Becker, NINJA, & Wiley
    REG - 75 (Lost Credit) 72, 68, 73, 75 (Passed again in Aug 2011) Becker, NINJA, & Wiley
    FAR - 65, 68, 75 (Lost Credit) 68, 73, 73, 80 (Passed again in May 2012) Roger, NINJA, & Wiley
    BEC - 65, 68, 71, 72, 72, 71, 76 (Lost Credit)- 70, 76!!!! I AM DONE!!! - Roger, NINJA, & Wiley
After 10 long years of studying, I AM DONE!!!! Finally a Licensed CPA in the State of New York!!

    Hey Guys,

I don't understand what or who the heck is OP…

If you're pointing out at me … I'm a REAL LEGITIMATE CPA Aspirant …

I'm better off without being on this forum if you guys feel that I'm a fraud … and for what ? Am I getting paid if you're reading my post ? I one of those guys whom AICPA hates the most …

I don't know who the heck is tryingtopass, and I don't know why our ips are same, in case they are. All I know is I don't bu*lsh*t around as I have far better things to do since my life quite demanding.

If you wish to decently participate and stick to the subject matter, be my guest … or simply get off my back … Thanks!

The number of questions depends on what you are doing. I can crank out 200 tax questions in a day because I am comfortable with that.

If I had to do those 63 “Timing issue” questions from Financial again, it would probably take me 2 days.

OP = Original Poster, as in the person that started the thread
