    Ok so I am doing my final review of FAR with 10 days to go before my test and I was wondering how many times you go through each subject (chapter) and get 70%-80% (as Jeff recommends) before moving on to the next subject?

    If you get say 70% twice would you move on?

    I would think so. I am taking FAR in 9 days and after the 2nd time through, I know the answer before reading the question so I'm not sure it's helpful at that point. I am going to move on to Wiley test bank for different questions.

    @jjm1181 I'm the same way but I'm trying to just do the calculations any way instead of just putting the answer I know is right. I'm not far behind you on test days – are you taking FAR too?

    @mla1169 I feel the same way this week, but keep pugging a long AHHHHHHH…. 😉

    @AshleyCap

    I am taking FAR as well on Oct 24th. I hope to be through the questions this 2nd time through within a few days. Plan of attack at this point is get through Becker questions, work on Wiley questions while reading over NINJA notes and flashcards. I haven't done many simulations or research practice so I will do that in between. Also need to nail down the essential JEs. So I pretty much stated that I have to study every facet of the exam before next Monday. Ugh.

    I don't think remembering the question is a wrong thing nor does it send a wrong signal. As long as you know why you are getting the answer right and why other choices are wrong…you should be well set.

    I pick on certain words in the question and think to myself, and whatever the first logical “key word” comes to my mind, I look for that option…if it's not there, I look for the next best guess, etc. This way, I'm def. getting the concepts down rather than just clicking on what I have memorized.

    I have done passmaster MCQs at least 3x and even when I do them all at once, there's few that seem surprising or “hmm I don't remember this one.” I do all the supplementary questions, so those surprises aren't something that I haven't worked on before…

    @jjm1181 – how far into the questions are you now? I just FINALLY finished going through F5 again and started on F6 I too hope to be through the questions this second time around within a few days… then rewrite my notes and study JE's (which I really haven't up to this point YIKES) and work on more MCQ's in my weak areas (ie; leases, bonds, pensions…) I'm right there with ya! UGH.

    @hopefulcpa28 – I agree that memorizing the answers isn't necessarily a bad thing as long as you actually understand why it's the right answer!

    Here's to hoping it's going to be enough!

    @AshleyCap – I'm hopefully finishing up F4 today. I'm in the same situation where I need to focus in on the tougher topics which seem to be F3 – F9 :). I plan on “scheduling” a few meetings this week at work that will allow me to close my door and study for a few hours so I can pick up the cramming. I just hope it all comes together magically at the end.

    I'm going to take everyone's advice of doing as many MCQ's as possible. Hopefully Wiley will give me that extra push I need to pass. I've seen all the becker questions 3 times now and know that I need some variety for the final week.

    I'd rather do those questions even though I know what the answer is. Sometimes you try a different review, you get some wrong, you freak out, your confidence falls, and your mentality is pretty much done…
