I have applied to VA board in May 2010 , they told me i am missing core course Financial Accounting which i just complete. Can some one tell me how much time now will it take to get my NTS and all the good stuff to give my exam. As i have already purchased Becker course in May 2010 and with new changes I am ready to get my new material. As I just want to start with this Dream of my to become CPA.

Are you sure they didn't tell you that you were missing your core English courses??

I'm newer to this site and have never posted before. I just had to say how sad I was to read the post by 75orbust. Sorry to CPADeam for having to deal with unnecessary disrespect on here 🙁 This site has been such a wonderful resource for so many CPA candidates, lets keep it that way! “Can some one tell me how much time now will it take to get my NTS” … Can someone tell me how long it will take to get my NTS? ….and to answer your question, I got my NTS about 6 weeks after I sent in all of the required information.

Call your state board. In IL, when I was checking on my approval to sit for the exam, I could call anytime and they would tell me exactly where I stand. Please ignore other's rudeness.. sorry.

It was a joke people relax, no harm intended. But I understand its hard to joke on here because most people on here are stressed out because of the tests, and come from different nationalities, etc.

With that being said, you do well for your second language, I took three years of German in high school and can't write more than a sentence. Because it is administered in the United States, it is an English exam, and starting in 2011 I believe all exams will now have a written communicated graded heavily on English, punctuation, and grammar. So it might be beneficial to work on some of those areas to help secure more points. Good Luck on the exam.

@CPADeam – English is my first (and only) language, typing is NOT, lol. I usually look back at my posts and think….WOW. I think my brain is faster than my fingers.

You will live your dream in no time. Just decide that you will not quit until you do. That's all it takes.

English is my second language too and you should held up your head high because you are trying to do the impossible thing that others would want to do but does not have the confidence and opportunity to do it ( taking the CPA exam). It is always a big challenge for me everytime I take the exams because I have to re-read each questions before answering them and trying to figure out what the examiners want. Do the best you can and you can make it! By the way, I am from CA and they processed my application within 2 weeks.

BEC 2/8/10 - 75 (studied hard & prayed less)
REG 5/15/10 - 88 (studied less but prayed hard)
AUDITING 8/9/10 - 79 (studied hard and prayed hard)
